Spider-Man has the most keys, but few with any real significance outside of the Spider-Man title.  What effect did Chameleon, Vulture, Dr Octopus, Electro, Mysterio, or Shocker have in the rest of the Marvel Universe?  Absolutely none.

Fantastic Four is the title from which the Marvel Universe was built.

I hadn't really thought about it like that, but the spidey villains had a huge effect on Spidey...and the biggest book in the marvel universe, if not the Marvel Universe itself.

  2. I have sold $1000 of raw cards in the last month.  The most recent being the MM tin set for over $350 (it was an ebay sale hut we lived close and met for the exchange.  He said he was going to open them and I wonder if he is thinking of grading some.).   I think that clears about all my sellable cards and inserts.  I am keeping a few, but nothing over $50.  I have sellers remorse on one thing, the Spiderman Anniversary prism set.   I am hoping that I can get them back in a few months for half of what I sold them for.  Sold the set of 12 for $80.

Spectacular Spider-Man #98 will be a .25-$3 book again in another 12 to 18 months. I'll buy up another stockpile of copies when it craters but I couldn't pass on moving those last week lol

Are there examples of recent books that have blown up that then crash all the way back?  Or don't most of them find a longterm bump?

  4. I don't sell a ton on ebay, but I usually have 10 or so items up.  I sold a small collection of keys last year without MP with no problems, as usual.  Since the force over notice, and the payout delay...yuuukkk.  I can see a time shortly where I just pull everything down and screw it.  I would usually like to think that upgrades and changes are to make things better and easier for buyers and sellers. I can honestly say that as a buyer it doesn't change anything for me but as a seller it's a much less pleasant, easy, better experience all around.

  5. I got the switch or else notice a couple weeks ago, so I did the switch thing. Have sold a couple things and no big deal waiting a couple days for payment.  Went to list a coin today and the listing was rejected.  Apparently, they now have many items that MP sellers can't list.  🙄.  Just dumb.  Also apparently, the coins and bullion categories may start to be allowed tomorrow.   I'm still gong with dumb.

  6. If there was a con tomorrow near me, or a short drive away...i would go. Supposedly I will be in phase 1 for a vaccine, but no word yet on when (because of my job, not my health).  Someone will have to make the move to start again.  Crowd limits, and ppe, but still, start slow and roll on.  I am hoping by late spring that there is good news.

  7. Reading the title and first post, I thought I missed some news.  But no, nothing has been done, so it should be "if", right?  "if" something (I expect something to get done, just the amount is in flux) gets done, I will be getting a graded ASM 8 to fill a hole.  It isn't a key book, so I hope the price does not go up.

Batman #313 features the first appearance (couple of panels, I think) of Lucius Fox's son, who apparently now is going to become the next Batman.  :eyeroll:

Batman #312 is the better choice, actually, as that one has artwork by the great Walt Simonson.  ^^

Checking my dupes and discovered I added one to my hoard just in the last few months when I got a small stack lot that included these four.  The cost of the lot was under $2 a book.  Dumb luck, I'll take it.   :cloud9:

So, what is the future of 313?  Going up or is it topped out at $300 ish for a vf? I wouldn't mind a hole in my pc for 3 bills.  Ebay fees are the worst, but that's where the eyes are.

  9. I have read the article a couple of times.  I am sure that during that period, friends of Stan asked him "how's it going" and he said "fine".  How were they to know it was the opposite?  I can't help but think this has to fall mostly on the daughter.  She was too busy trying to find a TV career.  She should have been a guardian of his well being, and after his passing, the guardian of his legacy.  I'm sure she could have found notoriety in that.
