  1. I have an 8.5 TTA 36 ow/w, I put it up for sale but no one seemed to want it...oh well, I'lll just hang onto it until the Ant-Man comes around.
  2. Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere
  3. I would love to own this one To do what with it?
  4. So funny people here are sticking up for Nate, Just cause he draws a comic you like doesn't mean he should be off the hook for not mailing this guy what he paid for! It's unacceptable and there is no excuse for it. If he has time eat, pee and sleep, he has time to run over to the post office.
  5. bring the emails to him at a convention, make a scene, if he doesn't deliver then sue him.
  6. That will last 2 days until the million or so copies are dug up. Yup...I pulled out my two copies and on Ebay they go Always thought this was a cool cover.
  7. I don't buy the variants but they hurt the regular cover ebay sales.
  8. Really no reason to have more than 1 variant cover, better yet, no reason to have a variant cover at all! Who decides if there is going to be a variant cover anyway?
  9. Too many variants are out for Nowhere Men, Wonder if it'll become as bad as Bedlham?
  10. Depends on if it comes back a 9.8 or higher, they are tough to get in high grade on any comic. If you spend the money to get the book graded, you're basically "rolling the dice" at the casino or scratching that lottery ticket. You never know how much you get, like drawing a comic for a living and selling it. You advertise Todd #1 to comic stores and cross your fingers, hoping stores order enough you at least break even, anything after that is gravy.
  11. I just finished Arkham City, There was something wrong with it before where it would get stuck and wouldn't come back, just freeze. So I dusted it off and put it back in and it worked and was able to finish. I don't play for trophies, I play to finish the story line. Unless it's Final Fantasy
  12. Not sure why that would be. Nowhere Men in particular is printed on better stock than our other titles, and Image titles in general are printed on better stock than other publishers' books. -e.s. Eric Stephenson Publisher Image Comics, Inc. www.imagecomics.com Has to be the paper because all 4 colors are still intact on that spot. If one of the 4 colors was missing on that spot, then something would be happening on the press. Speaking of paper stock, switching back to newsprint and hand coloring would be great!
  13. I'll buy those six at cover if ya don't want them? Are you talking about the on in the lower center of the front cover. If so, I have subbed some of those and pulled 9.8. Just FYI. yes
  14. I'll buy those six at cover if ya don't want them? nice try
  15. Anyone know what the story is on the wrinkle on some of the Nowhere Men 1's? Does anyone have any slabbed books that have the wrinkle on it? I didn't send 6 of them in because of the wrinkle.
  16. Wow. We have a psychiatrist here diagnosing comic book fans on the internet. Thank you for your statement. It reinforces my post. Must be the fault of my newly diagnosed personality disorder. First you say to a bunch of comic book fans there is a "huge part" of us who are socially awkward, finishing with diagnosing some of us with personality disorders. Then in your last sentence you say these people "sit behind a keyboard and pound away comments meant to ignite a reaction...and to tick people off". Maybe if you want a reinforcement for your post you just need to look in the mirror, doc He does work in medicine, genius. How many comic stores have you walked into over the years and the people working there barely speak 2 words? I've said "Hey, Do you have this"? What do they say? "If it's not over there, then I don't have it" then they turn away and keep watching tv and ignore me. I mean really, Doesn't take a PH.D to see that some of these guys don't have any social skills. BTW, He didn't say YOU have a personality disorder, so put your ego away for now and you can play with it after you eat your vegetables.
  17. Well to think we could of had multiple copies of these for $30...
  18. KillZone for PS4 is going to be a launch title, Looks like Sony is gonna come out with a bang out of the gate, Can't wait for Final Fantasy to come to the PS4, That's my game!
  19. But the problem I have with this and a lot of collectors is the fact that this is a manufactured collectible in the truest sense of the word. It's artificially creating a "rare and collectible " item. Golden Age and to a certain point Silver Age is the reason they are so valuable is because no one saved them because they might have value. As we all know, that's what happened with the whole Death of Superman and all those X Facor 1, X Men 1, Spawn 1, etc..... This book is just the variant du jour.... And I want one bad !!! People didn't buy Spawn 1, X-Force 1 and X-men 1 simply because people thought they were going to rise in value,,,Jim Lee, Todd Mcfarlane in the 90's were basically Gods! They were super popular and anyone that colected comics had a copy, It was like when everyone in the 80's had the Thriller album. Of course you want the variant bad, but it's like looking at pasta, your eyes are bigger than your stomach!
  20. It's a homage to this that someone posted earlier in this thread Homage covers are boring because we've already seen that cover before. Enough is enough.
  21. Why does the TB cover have to be so terrible? Who finalized this cover anyway? Why can't it look cool like the SAGA 1 RRP cover? I just see a dark blue cover with white circles on it. Doesn't exactly scream "I gotta get me one of these"!! Back in the old days, They used to compete for attention on the newsstands by giving people compelling covers, Silver Age Marvel and DC would add dialogue to the cover to add drama to pull you in, they don't do that anymore and it sucks. Now it's "oh, let Jim Lee draw it so we can make a poster of it later" I don't know about anyone else but I'd love to see some hand coloring come back, it has a certain charm to it, comics now feel digital, basically like they were printed off a pc desktop and put 2 staples in it with a $3.99 cover price on it.
  22. Not really sure what your point is or if you even have one. Just because something isn't going away doesn't make it ok or mean that I have to feel awesome about it. I felt so embarrassed in the Todd thread when people were asking Ken what the print run was and then basically rejoicing at how low it was. YUS! YOU'RE MAKING F ALL FROM YOUR COMIC BUT AT LEAST I CAN FLIP IT FOR PROFIT ON EBAY! How is that in any way decent behaviour? Dude, you felt embarrassed? Because it was being asked about the print run? How is that in any way decent behaviour? Hand in your man card.
  23. Yes exactly... No one plays football just because they want a big paycheck, they put in the time, the hours of practice and preparation to get better and better because they love it, but they also want the big contract. Same thing with comics or sportscards or coins, people love what they sell.
  24. Evidence? The fact that comics are being compared to shoes and stamps and there's talk about people walking away to "collect" whatever next pops up on the market as "hot" kind of sums up what I find distasteful here. I know, I know, I'm on a collector's forum but the way the financial rewards of buying comics WAY overshadows any love for the medium at all saddens me. I'm new here. I found this place when after spending too much at xmas I went to find out if any of my comics were worth anything so I could help my bank balance a little. I've stuck around because it was fascinating to me. But I'm starting to think maybe it isn't for me. I love comics. So when I hear people rejoicing at low print runs and refusing to buy a book just because it's a mini and therefore unlikely to ever be worth any money... or sometimes even not buying any book that isn't Image, I kind of despair. This is one of the most active comics forums on the internet and for me, it sucks that it is driven by money. No. No. You're on the Collectors Society forum and you're surprised that the discussion centers around the financial aspect of collecting comics? CGC exists to commoditize comics. I mean, you just typed that you came here to find out what your comics were worth so you could sell them and pay bills. Buying, selling, trading and collecting comics is a part of the hobby that isn't going away. It's even encouraged by the publishers and creators. Why would you release an item limited to 500 if it wasn't to make it a 'hot' collectible? There's no other reason. Most people here love comics and read them regularly. Otherwise, they would buy and sell stocks or flip houses or something. This pretty much what I said earlier...
