  1. All these covers are awful, Just more covers of batman on a roof top, close up of his face or him standing there striking a pose doing nothing. It's the same thing over and over. Where's the creativity?
  2. Pretty much any copper/modern book that doesn't come back 9.8. Overall, I do well.
  3. Exactly. Selling a rising asset to buy a liability is what separates the poor from the rich.
  4. None, I looked forward to playing baseball in the backyard with my friends was more fun than any toy. I can't understand the whole "nostalgia" thing and why people spend big money trying to reclaim them.
  5. Anyone can buy a press, put a book in and have it come out looking better than it did going in, but if you run into a problem, how do you fix it? It's like someone who can take out and put in car parts doesn't mean you can call yourself a mechanic.
  6. Either way, I couldn't careless, it's not like I hang out with anyone from the boards or ever plan to.
  7. Forget the cheap t shirt press and go for one of these! https://www.amazon.com/Commercial-Mechanical-Mounting-18-5x23-Capacity/dp/B00009XVTK
  8. No, just you. I'm ok with that. I see you're on your trolling account again.
  9. Of course but some people have had training who showed them what and what not to do, some have done it through trial and error. It's the DIY pressers who think they know what they are doing (KaptainMyke) are the ones who need to stop pressing
  10. Don't listen to KaptainMyke about pressing...seriously.
  11. Disappointed this came back restored...chance you take.
  12. That's exactly it...Had a JSA Classified 1 that looked like a 9.8 but it had a blister on it...came back 9.4.
  13. No, they shouldn't be granted 9.9/10.0 People over think the 9.8 grade. It's NM/MT meaning it's nicer than a NM and close to MT, which means small defects are allowed. 9.8 isn't the same as MT. I see people complain all the time, "How can this be a 9.8 with this 1/1000th of an inch spine crease??
  14. Printing is a dirty job, like being a car mechanic. Pressman has ink on his hands, picks up a copy, checks the quality and places it back on the skid with the rest of them, fast forward 50 years..."hey, what are all these smudges"?
  15. I think his site got hacked cause someone was trying to lower his prices to more realistic levels since he won't do it himself
  16. I'd go with the Detective 880, I can see that book hitting a 1000 in 9.8. Can't go wrong with a classic Joker Detective cover.
  17. Sounds like they didn't even do it
