    I emailed the designer to come up with something else, gave some of the feedback posted here as well as what I liked and didn't like. I'm not spending $800 on a top of the line logo that depends on the face of a fortune 500 company, it's just an eBay store

    Something is better than nothing....Does the Google logo alone make you wanna run to the pc and search something? No, Does the McDonald's logo make you wanna pull into the drive thru? No. But they are simple designs that are easily recognizable and you know exactly what they sell and what they do.

    I wouldn't waste my time and money on any variant cover, rather spend $4000+ on a silver age marvel book or a golden age Detective

    Exactly, key books rarely tank. BA 12 has settled down a bit from it's SS hype but it'll spike again when sequels start coming out as well as HQ movie appearances. Marvel stuff isn't getting any cheaper and I can only see it getting worse as even the copper age stuff gets older. People didn't take care of them as well as they do now and a lot of it sat in dollar boxes for years.

    I keep a want list on google sheets, stuff I really want and delete them as I get them. While I won't get everything on the list cause some of it is too expensive, I just try and get what I can.

    I agree, Which is why I'm waiting for the price of Incredible Hulk 181 to come down in price after all the movie hype calms down, I should easily be able to pick up a 9.8 for half the going price it is now. Way too common of a book as you said to maintain that kind of price.
