  1. Nice book but that black registration is terrible
  2. This was from the back of the Spider-Man Vs Venom TPB. Marvel figured out, "Hey, we can use Mcfarlane's old art to sell more spider-man stuff since we own the reproduction rights"
  3. I've bought about a half dozen raws over the years before I finally came across a 9.8. Keep lookin! You'll score one eventually
  4. I think copper will become the new Bronze but not Silver. ASM 300 could be the next Hulk 181 at some point. ASMs under 328 will become much more expensive for non keys as well.
  5. Every action movie has CGI in it now. Snyder is very hit or miss on his movies, 300 was a hit, Watchman was well done, Man Of Steel was a hit. Yes BvS was terrible, which was over stuffed and badly edited. I wouldn't say he's had a trail of duds cause he hasn't. Some people think cause George Lucas used no CGI and used a bunch of puppets and miniatures to make way back in 1977, then that's how it should be now. If that's you stop being that guy!
  6. Not really looking to make this into a business, I mainly press for myself.
  7. I need to see more to be sold, don't expect this movie to be the best you ever seen. It's about a 2 1/2 or 3 out of 4 star movie. Hopefully they keep it simple and don't over stuff it. The characters don't look to be in any kind of danger or struggle, like "this is easy, so we'll crack jokes" while we kill parademons. Hopefully Darkseid's will show up in part 2 and beat'em all up.
  8. I recently got an ASM 300 9.8 White...Saw it in the comic store display case for $225.00+tax, Pressed out the spine roll and came back a 9.8...so glad I didn't have to pay the $1500 ebay price tag. Now onto finding a raw 9.8 copy of 301 to have graded.
  9. One book at a time. That's how I look at it, but I was just looking at the recent comiclink sales auction and was getting sticker shock at how any marvel book in HG, the prices are getting out of control. DC stuff is starting to catch up but the heavy hitter is still ASM. Bronze ASM in 9.8 has been getting up there and I do believe ASM 200-328 will follow suit...$500 ASM 316 anyone? With the way things are going, I can see it happening in time.
  10. By the OP's post, I think he's referring to "We haven't seen any new exciting art styles in recent years" which is true but for the most part, it's incredible tough to come up up an art style no one has seen before that's exciting. Art styles influence other artists and are fundamentally based off of a few basic styles. Jim Lee is a product of John Byrne for example. McFarlane is a product of Akria. They do add their own spin to the art style but once all those extra lines are stripped away, you'll see the same type of style among all of them. I wouldn't necessarily call Neal Adams or Bernie Wrightson "comic book artists" even though they have done comics, they are more illustrators than anything else. I'd say David Finch has an excellent art style which of course, he's a product of Jim Lee.
  11. Even 9.6s are going for over 500, 9.4's pushing 400
  12. Yeah as much as myself and a lot of others "Want everything we see" you really have to be more selective and focused. Sticking to a want list really has helped.
  13. I had a feeling they would cast a black woman to be Domino.
  14. Of course they replenished ink back then...think they just filled up the ink fountain once and let it run out but yet keep the press running? Of course not. Same with the plates, if the plate cracked, they changed it. Where are these comic guys getting their printing info from? Making it up in their heads?
  15. they can just go to school if kids wanna see and hear that
  16. Yeah man, I'll be in those dollar boxes looking for the NM 98's!
  17. It's only $10 a book which is the price it's been for awhile
  18. I buy these @86 cents each shipped for free to store. http://www.staples.com/16-L-x-12-W-x-4-H-Staples-Corrugated-Shipping-Boxes/product_426309 Fill it with packing paper, first the bottom, then the top, and it's under 2 pounds and mail it priority. I use the "calculated shipping to location" on ebay so I don't get burned on shipping if I have to ship to CA or TX.
