  1. Status: Safe/Completed as of today. What scares me is I have two comics listed as REJECTED. However, I didn't prescreen.
  2. Looking to buy some Andy Park OA. Either headshot sketches or Tomb Raider pages. Show me what you got!
  3. I asked on the Ask CGC forum and think I got it taken care of. Forgot that forum even existed!
  4. Order #: CGC1215399256 Submission #: 3775430 Error is: Line Item: 021 Comic Description: Dallas Comic Con Program nn 10/04 no publisher listed Which I believe should be: Italy Panini Dark: Darth Vader 1 4/15 Panini Italy/Perez Variant Cover
  5. If the sales were from one source (Paypal, Ebay), etc and you didn't get a 1099, you should be fine. You can check your tax documents on those sites, so you may just want to double check though. IRS will be much more inclined to go after people who ignore it than at least show some reportings. I think in the end, for the average person it's going to be easier to just say, "Here's what I made this year and here's how much I spent". Then subtract that and get a final number.
  6. Hi, Comics just went SFG, but on my comic list it is stating I have 3 of one book and 4 of another. However I submitted 2 of one book and 5 of the other. Both books are completely different, so is this something I need to worry about or should it be caught?
  7. Modern Slow: Received 1/20 SFG 03/12 So it looks like 51 days including weekends. Also it looks like they screwed up with one of my comics saying I have 3 of one copy and 4 of another. It should be 2 and 5 though. Anyone know if this is an issue?
  8. Oh great. My books were received on the 20th. Now I just have to wait for Greggy's 300 books to be graded first.
  9. My father is accountant for 45 years. Regarding auditing, he told me unless the IRS thinks it can recoup at least $1,000 a day from you in an audit, it's almost always not worth it for them to do it. So I think most small sellers will be fine as long as they make educated estimates on their taxes.
  10. As someone who has done both, stick with the W-2. Otherwise you're paying all the SS/Medicare as well as your own workmans comp. Those alone probably will cost you up to 17% of your income.
  11. You do realize Paypal will also send you one right?
  12. Yeah. It's all automated so it wont be a problem for them. Also it'll pass. There's way too much else good tied into the stimulus bill that the House won't pass it.
  13. I think it probably starts in 2022 so you'd report in 2023.
  14. It's not just Ebay. Any payment services like Paypal are going to get dinged. Everyone is suddenly going to be keeping meticulous records of their comic purchases to write off. As I believe you have to pay almost 15% in just Social Security/Medicare, this is going to cripple collectables. That's not even including any Federal/State taxes.
  15. Wish they would just release the full trailer already. Looks like these are starting to take off in price finally.
  16. In shocked I've seen like no news about this from the spec sites. Hot comic property that still has #1s going for cover. I hope they do this series justice.
  17. Maybe do some research of your own? https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=high+republic+3+cbe&_sacat=0&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1 And in full disclosure, I did try to buy a copy but didn't get one in the first wave and I missed the second. Like I'm sure many here, I'm buying what I can because i see a future in the HR era. So I have no beef if these are shilled. In normal circumstances I'd say probably, but people are paying thousands for even dumber SW spec, so I don't know what to believe anymore. Normally I hate the exclusives, but I give them credit for their tactics. Why sell 3000/1000 copies for $15/$30 when you can just sell 600/600 for $80? If the 1st apps take off, you have the "One" to own for sure just due to rarity. And if you only sell 400 and keep most of the rest, you have a massive goldmine on your hands. I know people comment about the whole 600/600 run being BS, but it doesn't really matter because the perception is out there that it's 600/600 and many newer collectors will never question it.
  18. Here's the CBE HR #3 variant. Already going for over $500 on Ebay.
  19. I think for the set I paid $225ish w/ CGC since I didn't have the secret promo code.
  20. Sorry, but that's super scummy of them to do this. You don't advertise 50/100 and then magically a month later another 450 copies show up for sale. All they had to do was simply state unsigned copies would be sold at a later date. I certainly would not have purchased a signed CGC set if I knew I could get a raw that I could press and grade for much cheaper.
  21. I don't think you can send Registered with Ebay. If you want their seller protections you have to buy their postage. Could be missing something though. If I'm questioning a buyer, I'll usually use restricted delivery on FedEx. Requires a the signature of the person on the box. I also think PO Box is safer for the sole fact they can't claim it never arrived. While it may mask a buyers address, they take money and a bit of time to get one. I use one so I can guarantee my package won't walk off on my porch.
  22. Looks like it was ended early after 3 hours. I suspect someone probably bought them privately. Still, that's pretty disconcerting about them being released with sigs. I wonder if these were printer copies or someone's PC copies.
  23. Anyone know what printing they're calling the Walmart version?
  24. While I technicalmly don't have a problem with it, doing stuff like extra prints is a blatant cash grab and it dilutes his brand. I would and will never buy any of his stuff because of shenanigans like this. It also indirectly dilutes that SW brand, but I suspect all Marvel sees is $$.
