  1. Ebay is simply passing off the fees that companies like Visa and Mastercard are charging Ebay to process transactions. Sales tax is not excluded in those fees hence why it is charged. Paypal does the same thing.
  2. Just got some extra copies back from CGC, so it's time to pay that grading bill. Here's the required stuff: -Paypal, Chase Quickpay, Venmo, Square are all acceptable payment methods. -Shipping is INCLUDED -No returns -No HOS or Probies. -Posts takes precedence over PMs. -Will consider offers.
  3. I'll confirm again with my presser who dropped them off locally, but I specifically requested not. I suppose he could have screwed up, but I was billed for 25 comics at $455 (25x$18+$5 submission fee) upon receiving back in January (not after pre-screen), did not have extra TAT for prescreen (confirmed by the other submissions that were also dropped off at the time by the same presser), and nothing about pre-screen was mentioned in the return form. So hopefully you can see why I'm confused. So still at a minimum I'd need a partial refund for the rejects.
  4. Attached a better example. The top image is your standard heat seal. The bottom is what I'm seeing on both copies of this issue all along the seal. There's even excess heat seal residue(?) outside by the edge of the book which you can see in the picture.
  5. You just bored and trolling this thread for no reason?
  6. Talon was in Lucas's episode 7 pitch. Seeing how different of a direction Disney went, there's pretty much nothing of the original pitch they used. I'm not saying its impossible, but adding a new Darth is a huge deal. You pretty much have to have a whole new generation of characters to make it work.
  7. So the heat seal is just what it is? All my other books like fine, and of the 100 or so books I've submitted, I've just never seen such bad heat seals. I'm hoping I can get some slightly better pics tonight as I realize these don't show it well. Also still looking for advice for the reject issue.
  8. Just going to point everyone asking about TAT to this thread. It's generally the most accurate way to gauge your submission eta. https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/262409-current-turn-around-rates-at-cgc/
  9. Ugh, Legacy spec is utter trash. Don't buy into it. It's pure pump and dump.
  10. Update! Well, no one seems to know what happened as to why my two Star Wars comics were rejected. My shipment arrived today with the two rejects, and they were definitely not slabbed. CGC charged me full price, and as of today I've still not been refunded any amount. Once I get this resolved with CS, I'll do a final update.
  11. Hi Jennifer, I received the shipment today with the two raw books inside. There are no notes as to why they were returned, and I was billed full price for them. I'm seriously at a loss as to what happened. Since I have a thread going, I also have a question regarding two books that looks like the case failed to seal or something because the glue is very visible. Pictures don't do it a great justice, but it is basically spans the entire comic. I don't really know how these passed QA because it's the first thing that draws your eye. Both books have them. The other books in the submission are fine.
  12. So I've spent a few days researching, and I'm as stumped as you are. I actually do have a copy of this too, and it looks identical to the other covers. It is confirmed to be a 1st printing too. My best guess is that they were given out to select stores as a prize. On the back pages of the issue are a list of 50 stores across the world who were featured with their address, website etc. Looking at my records, I can confirm I got my copy from one of these stores. (Jetpack Comics) The other alternative is it was a store exclusive. Comicbookrealm simply lists it as "Special Edition Variant".
  13. Captain America 7 2nd Print is up to around $175 though seems to have settled around $100. Anyone know which Walmart pack these were supposedly in?
  14. Edge of Spider-verse 2 9.8s have broken the $1500 marker routinely in the past month. The Land variant also broke the 9k barrier in 9.8.
  15. I did have a grader's note for one of them, but its vague enough to not give me much detail. As of today anyway, I've not been refunded for the grading that was billed on my received date. What's more frustrating was I waited two months to get these graded and now I'll have to pay again for shipping to and from and wait another two months to get them re-graded. Hoping something can be worked out here. It will probably be a week to get then from the PO, so I'll follow up when I do.
  16. Its probably the second print. I did some research a month ago and could find very few copies for sale or sold prior.
  17. Oh man, this is gorgeous. Did you get this off Ebay a few years ago and get it colored? I swear I saw this in uncolorized and was so bummed I lost out. It was also a 9.4
  18. Well both are Star Wars comics and they graded my other copies. Posted in Ask CGC, so we will see.
  19. Hi, Just got my books graded and I'm seeing two got rejected. The submission was not a prescreen and both books were modern. I did see one other post about a reject for a detached cover. However, I know when these were submitted they were fine. One of the two rejects doesn't even have staples. Grades have not posted yet so I'm somewhat terrified others got damaged at CGC. (They were dropped off, not mailed.) Any chance there's more info? Submission #3775430
