  1. I agree, and for this very reason I think that CGC completely owns every bit of this until they name names. The full extent of the perp's activities deserves scrutiny. If CGC doesn't facilitate that by naming him, I will then assume that there is something bigger being kept under wraps. Could it be one of the newcomers that pushes for the name release is fishing?
  2. it bares repeating. All good it surmised really what we know even up to this point, mostly
  3. awesome info! Good to know I don't suppose you have the scans from way back then? to now compare to any new ones?
  4. That makes sense. So to answer my question, perhaps CGC is trying to use tactics to squeeze and build pressure.... and that might benefit cgc rather than the "offset payout costs I suggested"
  5. To that point weren't there reholder submission numbers on that list that were confirmed omitted? That is why I'm scratching my head to understand, why? if every book on a submission form is only for one service, ie reholder? Then why some are omitted, but some signature series are not and etc.... in short, I don't think anyone has a clue, but the questions are piling up
  6. Does CGC somehow benefit from putting Signature Series on the blacklist? Perhaps by inclining somehow to get the book back? Outing the person who Owns it or tries to sell it? It is a stretch, but what benefit could CGC have in putting it on the list? If we all think that it is probably fine to begin with? There has to be a reason it is on there... ya that last post was just to see if my mind could think of "another reason" CGC put it on the list, whether to their benefit somehow or not. I'm sure it is just to cover all the bases, but we all kind of think it is fine, I guess to cover their arse just in case. I was only trying to think of other scenarios, perhaps getting the signature series book back to offset the inevitable payouts cgc will issue do to the actual scam books. But if CGC is going to pay damages, there had to be a specific and legal reason they put it on the list, but like you say it is probably just as suspect as others and I'm spinning wheels
  7. TBH THAT may be why cgc put signature series on the list? @Buzzetta with it on a "list" and even though it more than likely is fine, and since CGC thinks it is a certain person....., and etc Could CGC get the book as a Non-sale or get it back eventually somehow to help off set costs of CGC payouts? It is a stretch, as I don't think CGC has any legal rights to it, but there has got to be "a reason" Signature Series was on the list, idk Just if the SS is on a list, then they're hard to sell and I wonder if CGC somehow benefits? Whether keeping it unsold or possibly "outing the person" who owns it? IDK Big Stretch
  8. Well, you're certainly, "loaded up and truckin'.."
  9. They wouldn’t all have the same grade date. The reholder would have its original grade date before the others. If I read your question correctly.... Of the missing submission numbers on cgcs list.... Reholder submissions have their own submission form, and regular submissions have their own form. So within the 25 max book limit for a submission, all 25 on one form (and in succession,) have to either be all reholder or all regular for grading subs. Same with special labels, but more towards when cgc ships those out.... you can add labels to any book when filling out a grading submission form,I understand it all on one reg submission form, but when cgc ships they ship them separately from the rest of the books. I wonder if THAT is how the submission isn't in succession? @sledgehammer
  10. And if they weren't before, CGC should and hopefully could review now for others, and get out ahead of it
  11. Perhaps its not something they track. Or look at. I hear you, and idk if there is any real answer. Just looking at the time period it was hundreds of books, with small notations, and.... They were mostly reholder? with no actual "real straight submissions?" I mean where did cgc think that he was getting these books for reholder "from?' Unless he also had regular submissions? Idk if there is any "real answer that isn't speculation" but those are hundreds of comics for small notations.... idk
  12. Impressive! That OA is and that silver cover my childhood copy is in the boxes somewhere
  13. He agreed that they would now, and perhaps with consignment or auctions, it takes permissions of the owners of slabs. Weighing those attributes, it isn't as simple as black and white, I was only encouraging to stick to the no sell guns. Then if cgc is offering a new cert regardless, then it would help cgc not have to keep up with "lists". I'm sure behind the scenes it may be more black and white with cgc and entities, and that cgc can take care of them when in hand. But glad that it was taken to heart that cgc, for now, needs to be direct and to the point, not convoluted . Although obvious books will be easier begind the scenes, just be sure to dot I and cross t. I also say it to encourage any owners now who aren't easily associated with cgc as comiclink. I know those auto recalls are a pain, with some more serious than others, and mechanic vehicle owners may themselves see it as less necessary. Similar with comic Link, but it is for you're own good sometimes and it is best I'll nag someone else now haha
  14. They stated they'd inspect themselves and "inform cgc", I took that as they wouldn't be sent in and regraded. That was not clear then my apologies @COMICLINK
  15. That just complicates things. Cgc should be able to say we've regraded the approximate 350 books all is well with new cert numbers. That is the only clear name legal wise you'll find. If an auto manufacturer has a recall to not send it back in makes you responsible for your own mishap. Just saying! We shouldn't convolute this serious situation to spare some feelings of ego or pride or whatever, not saying that specifically, but if a 200 page thread isn't enough to convince those on the list then I just shake my head in disbelief. That list is published and you don't know the reaches it went too, nor do you know the reach of any subsequent lists. It will potentially leave whomever in the hook same as an auto recall. 50 sales from now there is a problem and @CGC Mike has to come by and say sorry we tried to warn you.
  16. Imo it's too late, do you for sure, but as the amount this will spread by wildfire, we don't want people then saying "ah but there is a NEW list? Do you think that wise to make people question authenticity of any list in that way?
  17. If you don't send in books because you as your own authority deem it not necessary by your own eyes? Then when this list is screenshot and shared over the internet and elsewhere, your books are "on the list" with that cert nu,ber, ahem, fine by your eyes or not. People will forever say, that cert is on a fraud list I'm not buying one on that list. Then cgc to say if they crack it and there is no fraud, cgc will make you pay fees? Maybe that was what you were answering, surely cgc wouldn't do that. Basically those books are considered blacklisted and or stolen kind of similarly, in that if your slab is on the list cgc will regrade on their dime. My advice to anyone is even if you think "no worries" to "your own eyes", then when you sell and even if their fine with it, who they then sell it too and so on might not be OK with it. Basically we just got a lit for a recall, and I think anyone who says, it's probably fine, then I shake my head in disbelief
