  1. the Blanket extends to the right about 4 more feet than in the picture, but I tried to post the window in relation to my comics... Also the wall connecting on the right of the wall with the blanket shown..has big windows too but not really a lot of sunlight comes in there because that is the side with the neighbors house right next door blocking sunlight.... idk thought I'd ask about how sunlight acts on comics, be a shame if I had to put them in the closet that's too out of sight
  2. Also The ebay listing mentions protecting Comics/CGC items from UV light/ sunlight etc. How bad is sunlight? on CGC graded items?? My room at my house is mostly windows.... I have blankets over them to keep out sunlight etc. as the windows are basically the size of the whole wall, like a sliding door size would be... I haven't noticed any difference in my CGC items on the wall, but the change would probably be so gradual that I wouldn't be able to notice....How bad is it, sunlight?? I've avoided posting pictures of my comic room until it is done being set up..but if I need to post a picture for comparison I will No "direct sunlight" comes in I don't think as the sun comes up in the east sets in the west and the positions of the windows are just right and with trees outside my house providing protection etc. Sorry for the long post but any help would be greatly appreciated
  3. and does the comic cube spin?? since it seems to be in a corner and has a CGC comic on each side...(square/cube). Looks pretty cool
  4. Yessir. It's a giclee canvass print I had done & the image is from the original hardcover to Kingdom Come. Always loved Ross's work on this one, and was thrilled to get it done. What do you mean you had done? fyi I didn't exactly know what they meant by that either.... I just assumed Alex Ross would let you submit something of his and he'd do the Giclee ink print on canvas....looks like that might not be the case
  5. I'm looking forward to the show I am just wondering exactly how much these packages are going to cost I know Iknow I'll be patient Some of us have money we can spend, and other's (like me) have a little money haha, but last year, if I had spent money on one of those packages then I wouldn't of had any money to walk around the con. A little excited about a sketch package.... hopefully the details when it is promoted are clear, as I have never paid for a sketch before but have always wanted too. Also, when it is posted I'll need to figure it out quick if it is truly a "limited" participation
  6. Yessir. It's a giclee canvass print I had done & the image is from the original hardcover to Kingdom Come. Always loved Ross's work on this one, and was thrilled to get it done. Awesome !! I ask because it looks great! I just ordered one on his website: I believe it is JLA: Heroes and Villans.....basically it was the one that I could afford I'm looking forward to getting it but it hasn't shipped yet.... Can you pick any art or photo to have it done with Giclee to put on Canvas? and Who might I submit it to, so that I can find out prices...?
  7. Would Nintendo Power count as "Comic Magazines"? I mean as I understand it you do grade Nintendo Power? Correct?
  8. Thanks a 9.6 went for some serious change on the bay... My silver age is basically all Surfer but I like it too, cover's kinda of a head turner
  9. I still own Ocaraina of time-Zelda for Nintendo 64 which I think is what is shown....I also have TMNT 1 for regular nes...... What are we calling valuable..? "wanted" "pricey" "popular.....?
  10. Loved the rocketeer and movies to me they had good acting, plus my dad liked it growing up--good times----fond memories
  11. I thought that I'd expand my collection, and this seemed cool to me I don't really know ANYTHING about original art nor sketches etc but I know that I like it....
  12. I don't know really ANYTHING about sketch's and original art but I thought the price on this was tough to beat and I can respect Neal Adams art, etc.
  13. The MJI's are sort of like having a backing board built into the centerfold which gave the comic additional support depending on how they were stored. Hope the ASM #129 comes back to your liking. Thanks me too, it won't come back until early February
  14. Wishing you all the best and praying too, so exciting
  15. I don't have any Pizzaz or Bubble Gum inserts....but the MJI seem to look like thicker paper so it seems they're in better shape when the comic goes to grading Nice haul
  16. Thanks 'cause like I said I'm new to the silver age----so it's all news to me
  17. I guess your saying on the shelf at LCS a direct edition may come bagged and boarded? but newstands were the norm until the 80's and were still sold at the gas station/grocery store...etc again pardon my ignorance
  18. I knew but honestly I thought they would be rare in high grade for similar circumstances and reasons, as far as I knew (80's baby) that all before 1980 would be considered "newstand" as far as quality of paper maybe or the way they were sold? I didn't know if they ever came bagged and boarded in stores the way perhaps moderns or coppers would..... mainly same "treatment" as is rare for newstands of recent years..... idk I was just curious if it was similar is all. the SS #4 looks hard at high grade;---- didn't know why it was rare but you clarified
  19. No problem. To be clear, my response only applies to modern and copper age books. I understand, I was mainly asking about Newstands..... the SS#4 was a different subject, that I shouldn't have probably mentioned in the Modern forum. Many thanks, that helps cause I see a lot on ebay advertising "newstand" that aren't 9.8 and was curious as to if a plot was afoot
