Go back to sleep...it's just a nightmare. All will be well...the website is 100% functional. I blame adamantium and his edits to make "sense!"

Ya I just wanted to clarify, that my post wasn't on the side of blame or cgc fault, the rest is circumstantial that would be my opinion if it were my book. If i had it in hand I would know, but ballsy had it in hand and the results of "that situation He know.s" Pervert? But when the post came from cgc Mike after mine, I didn't want to insinuate any "blame". Imo it looks correctly graded even if I'm not eloquent to convince others.

The slab picture is in a more natural light and shows the bend and creases in the fray. The scanner just picks up a little break in color, but it IS enough to tell it is the same book and in the same spot! So nothing nefarious, just one is visible. The spine corners are frayed, a bend in the book with at least one heavy tick crease, with other smaller ticks in that area. A 7.5 all day long with that serious a bend breaking color resulting in a crease, so to speak. I thought maybe it was to press to 8.5? But those corners no, and doesn't appear that it was pressed at all. Maybe handling in that precarious spot of the "bend crease" wasn't good for it, but again I wouldn't blame it on CGC...

Tbh that was what I thought, or might have implied, as I wasn't bold enough. Just thought I'd post the pics since no one saw the damage. I considered that I not seeing it in hand before it was sent off to cgc, so @Dr. Balls would know better. @CGC Mike didn't see it crossed off the list yet and did due diligence. I just didn't want to blame the scans for not showing it in the raw, as I don't think anything nefarious was done, but I didn't have it in hand, glad you spoke up with some knowledge @lizards2and @greggy Cause idk and couldn't and didn't WANT to accuse falsely, but it looks correctly graded, the label, imo, should still warrant a second look, and while its there maybe inquire?

It's amazing that: Taking a few weeks break to just appreciate the work put into you registry! Only then to return to see if there are tweaks and feel Enough to come here and start a bullet list of why you feel the way you do! Then laugh because you know you did the best you could!

Question about registration and grading disparity

@CGC Mike hope it works out -
Lol realism I love it, as I cart around and try to empathize with the elderly at the moment too, and hoping I'm that blessed with a long life with my needs met! Yes small potatoes for now, but I'd look into it while it's free, and yet, maybe they'll offer some cgc credit as well. It is one of those things that people turn their head at the moment, as it is abundant, but unless you're off loading it soon go with some kind of fix. Idk it would set my mind at ease if it were mine, but then I have similar I haven't fixed cause it wasn't free either because I wasn't the submitter. I guess I've bought them too I feel you, its like hoping for it not be this hard from now on, and idk if we were spoiled from cgc to begin with haha

Post your Garage Sale/Flea Market/Antique Mall Finds Here
ADAMANTIUM replied to Shark's topic in Comics General
Lets see 11,000 into 16,000 is 68%, surely fees aren't a 3rd of the price, but I wonder how much it falls back on or is phrased, "Well, ahem, it IS a pawn shop!" Cause not only would I not go to "That" pawn shop for offers, I'm not usually taking comics to sell at ANY pawn store, but I can just hear other pawn shops across the country! "We're not on syndicated television so that'll be 35% of fmv!" To which the customer says -

Agreed. When I first showed interest, I too didn't know the fees of certain places. Like heritage and or comiclink I still don't. Meaning how much I'd make selling it myself I know they need to make money, but it's kind of like trading into the LCS, which I still do from time to time. They mostly offer 50% and 10% more is their bottom line. I've wondered if they get paid to be on the show period, and therefore feel some obligation, but idk. There has to be some reason that someone has an item, and as we know from Reece comics being on the show, don't live in Vegas but fly out anyway? Idk Reece though didn't accept the offer, and it is most often cash money, which some may prefer. Not often but especially at comic cons when I pay cash I can get a bit of a deal. But you're right, it makes me wonder 🤔 -

I use the word dissuade, because it does discourage someone from reading my posts, which is fine ie do or don't, but I don't believe that Dave was trying to actually and with intent to "persuade" someone from reading them Benefit of the doubt kind of thing
