  1. Yes! Made by Telltale games, They also made the Wolf Among Us, which is based in the Fables comics! So I got the Fables#1 in there which is 1st Snow and Big B which are the main characters of the game. And the Sequel game is coming soon actually! Wondered that myself with the fables, and did you ever decide on "darksiders?"
  2. ok mine has one of those but mine is in the middle of the book that almost looks as though it is being "folded", and the book in the slab is not flat but has an arc to it. I don't blame your concerns given recent admissions, I think it is still a 9.8, but reflects bad on cgc more than anything "They gave that 9.8?" When we know it "was" but how do we now "look at it?" and if it isn't the arc of the book in the inner well and yours is flat? then what is it?
  3. Seems like this is a disadvantage in the modern comics market that really doesn’t exist in golden age and silver books. I’ve sold hundreds of slabs over the years with zero asks for returns/refunds. Both of ours deserved 9.8's, it is just the "new 'damage' than can't be explained." With only one or 2 books, it is hard to justify other than being on the lookout in the process to try and make sure that a "real situation" isn't somehow happening.
  4. when you send in a perfectly flat book and it comes back with a tic and waves that if holding raw and not handled properly would flatten due to bad handling unevenly causing more tics and damage? But you by instinct have that feeling holding it, yet instead it is in a slab, kind of psyches you out orange arrows that show up on monitor but unseeable on the phone. Tried to make it better real quick, top pic is the main outline, but might have to zoom, which is why I think it is fine and we're being too critical
  5. @JDH-84 I think it is fine though Mine looks worse than the pics, perhaps yours does too... I can see in your slab where the paper crinkles at the spine ticks that make them look "not flat or the slightest jostle or slab pressure would just cause 'more creases' to the book", and it "feels like it is an unsafe book in a 9.8 slab" I think the cases ours are in are sturdy and won't squish the book to unevenly flatten those bends to cause more creases, but with SCS it is an uneasy feeling, that "we didn't send them in with".....
  6. I think their main concern is that it happened after grading but wasn't "caught or inspected" to ensure the grade and accuracy or that CGC will stand behind the slab.... I had the same feeling when this slab came back recently. I even posted here randomly within other "9.8 " threads where the grades were questioned, rather than start my own thread, but no feedback was received. I also feel that his spine tics are worse in person, or it was hard to get a full focus on this one I mentioned that I got back. In the past I've had spine tics that looked like this when I sent in raw that got 8.0 and I sent this in when it didn't have it, and now 9.8? I don't think that he is looking to blame cgc or anything nefarious, just he even has a before scan, which is better than I can provide, but being in similar predicament, I understand that he just doesn't want the doubt "he has and reluctantly feels someone else would too?" How else could he get any answers other than to blindly trust? and I don't think anyone here is suggesting that? Mine look worse in person, with a bit of arc in the slab while encapsulated. With that development flaw found recently and dealt with according to CGC, Idk either what to think or do....
  7. I did think that too And wondered how to spot it to confirm, I didn't really grow up with those to watch in film or etc. over and over, but have seen something that it DOES look like that
  8. Prayers 🙏 in Jesus name 🙏 Get some food and quality time to make a day of it, glad you're able to participate 🙂 Somehow I may finish better that middle of the pack? Lol one can hope 😜
  9. Lol on a tablet or phone it looks normal too, but some gravitas was nice.
  10. Lol I probably already posted this in the thread depending, as I know I posted when I got it originally. My copy has since been traded away to the LCS's for probably way to cheap. Jack in the box star wars that was from a couple of years ago mine was onky 7,0/7.5 at best. Really it was thanks to a boardie that I even got one, who posted here on the Boards. There was a link to receive a free copy, if you clicked it and tried to request more than one they canceled it but I got my 1 copy. Idk that I needed it nor do I need it back, but one of those boardie stories! This isn't mine but a pic from the internet.
  11. Yours does look nice, too I'm thinking with no tears or scruff on the low grades they present well. Also reading the graders notes on mine.... it might have been mostly for the staple, which I didn't read before purchasing, but all good Grader Notes: staple detached top of back cover; light finger bends on cover; moderate creasing to cover; moderate spine stress lines to cover.
  12. It fits my grades for some surrounding issues too
  13. @trademarkcomics did it up right! the #363 is new to me, and the #362 is an upgrade from a 9.0.
  14. I should state that link will work whether you have your own account or not... As long as you have the seven digit invoice number, which is the start of the cert and submission number with 001 added on for the first book in the submission and 002 for the second and etc @Sammyk0130
  15. I tried to state all this a page or so back for newcomers No Worries https://www.cgccomics.com/certlookup/ Use the seven digit number and add "001"&"002" for the first and second book, 003 for the third and so on, to that number at this link once shipped the book should be in this certification tool to see the scan of the book . @Sammyk0130
  16. I just have the CGC one from the packing slip. Is that one the submission number? Yes and if you have a CGC account that is yours and you submitted under? Many ways to do it, but this is too much detail go on to the next post
  17. All I know? Cgc comics on social just lowered the price of vintage submissions to $30 for one month or 30 days only, which is I guess the month of July. So expect that to either get attention and they'll turn focus on getting them done, or there will be longer tat to go yet, and all depending on your philosophical bent
  18. Ya I guess I should get with the times hahaha
  19. I hear they come from a can? Put there by a man, who works in a factory downtown! @Comics4All your sentence por favor! Classic video.
