  1. Well I did attempt to look for my slab, but didn't find it quickly enough Lord knows. Maybe y'all well light that fire by extracting it!
  2. This. ^ A reholder seems excessive if not necessary. I'd definitely play around with it first. To be fair to the seller, the shard may have moved around in transit when the slab was shipped. If it's an older-style holder, you might even be able to get a piece of paper in through the side seams in the outer case and jog the shard out. Worth a shot. This only reminds me that my slab of killing joke is like this, bought from eBay same situation, and at the time I didn't try to remove it. Lord remind me and if with success it'll be a testimony to even the new slabs are able to be removed. Time and patience. I think the picture provided here is of the newest generation of slab, makes me want to try with them the original poster!
  3. Averaging about $60 a book after sale with Texas tax, is neither bad for buyer nor seller. I understand some are raw and or vg condition, only a few of the whole. I won't ask profit, but if I had the $13,000 and already owned an asm 1 or af 15 then I'd have liked too buy it, deep thoughts after the fact is hard! haha One of those daydreams 😂 I hope it went well for all parties though!
  4. Tmk @CGC Mike Can confirm? That shards of plastic are only a free reholder as a mechanical error if done by the original submitter and within 2 weeks of receiving back from cgc. A label done incorrectly is a free reholder as a mechanical error at anytime and by anyone. Again tmk. You could always pay for a reholder otherwise
  5. That's Campbell correct? 💯 ah whoops was on my phone and didn't notice what thread we were in I remember it vaguely as it was back in 2014? or just thereafter? I remember I bought a Black Bat from dynamic forces as well @IbukiLord cool book though
  6. Does the comma help? Buyer made a low offer, on a $350 item. Poster countered at $300 and etc Poster doesn't say what the low offer amount was, only the list price that was $350 (starting price) and the counter offer.
  7. Really nice scans as well, in magazine size at that
  8. So much to remember throughout all genres, I used to run into smaller items but never knew what I was looking at Plus it's not like a comic title where you can just type it in either, ha!
  9. He said to tag him, I figured if we could just post a main thread when other threads pop up, he'd have less of a struggle to parlay the answers cgc is providing. I also said that 1st post in this thread because idk for how long this cgc answering questions is going to go on for, as oppose to tagging him for the near future "only"? I guess..
  10. There are many many threads that he as an employee is trying to answer these questions, he asked us to tag him for questions that he has missed. He's following all the other threads, you started a new one, so no one who works for cgc was notified to answer you. That is why I tagged him due to his request to do so and he can answer people's question about their new service No Worries
  11. @MattM CS idk how long you're to be tagged to answer questions, but another thread with questions that perhaps escaped view. At some point we'll have to just direct questions to one thread to be posted and answered in? Anyhoo cheers!
  12. Came back 9.4. I remember now that the sticker said $35, but dealer charged me $90. Still worthy I think 🤔 Edit to say @whetteon no press
  13. Antartica. Australia its getting cold somewhere. The Sun Will Shine. This Aurora borealis stuff is wild though. Northern lights!
  14. Bingo! but better to come here and impugn first- that is the way. @AltonKroobe I too would think it is just a precautionary disclaimer, and that more often is still available. So much so, that I wouldn't feel a need to inquire if available before claiming it, as payment comes after the claim and verifying. That said patience is involved, which is touchy or possibly inflammatory when we want it now, which is a common understanding and understandable feeling, but again, certainly required trait for most things. Lol no worries
  15. Lol it's annoyingly understandable and I don't blame you. I've looked and not found anything immediate, as I'm an impulse buyer and spend as money comes in to my dismay or unfortunately. I vaguely remember the pending and forget how that works. Being in the country I've called the phone number under the contact and got it squared away, but given the nature of the conflict, I don't want to suggest anything that might cause clash or grief Touchy sometimes with impatience I am
  16. He is a long time boardie here, so I would say the reputation is excellent, from personal experience having bought a few times (and even from "spin a deal") that I concur When you use the "spin a deal" promotion, it locks in the percentage off, if any, and secures the book to the logged in user You haven't made any specific qualms, and yet, "looking into or asking about a book" and "having it snagged out after inquiring?" Is probably because like you someone thought good of it but didn't "inquire", and just spin the wheel securing it or bought it now, which happens and is fully explainable. If any interaction based on personality and or other "not specifically mentioned?" That is the way certain busy and otherwise comic world interactions can be inclined. I didn't watch much "MAD", although I regret that, it is a typical comic personality intricacy nonetheless, such is life if not whimsical
  17. @MattM CS as this poster may have had to wait for his post to be approved, with only 2 posts total to the account. With the followed thread, it might not have notified when the post was made having to "be approved?"
  18. Was this for modern? My one modern book has been stuck in quality control since the 17th. Was originally received on April 29th. Wondering why it hasn't shipped yet while others are receiving shipping for theirs. yes for modern slow track I'd call, maybe they can make sense of it, but I think that is still within the 20-day tat if the same tier as mine, but @CGC Mike might be able to help as well Welcome to the boards, I hope it suits you and you get answers.
