  1. Well I AM glad that your getting the well rounded experience, shame there was a hiccup and good that it didnt detour you I guess. Still idk if comic link will go into too much if an explanation, or at least one you'll feel like sharing. I AM glad they didnt somehow forward the "check" to the consignor but instead handled it internally, which means the consignors didnt run off with it. That is the only reason I could see to why it was cashed, to prove the check was good so the consignor would then send the book, to be paid. Idk, I guess that may be obvious for some, but when your new, your new! Lol
  2. Ah clarity, thanks! I'm not a auction kind of guy, or I havent yet tried the big auction houses.. so I'm learning, its appreciated
  3. Hey 😅 Don't quote me on that, cause idk, but evidently it wasnt the seller who put it up for sale, I think.
  4. No worries, it's a long thread and if you had no troubles, no reason to "have to keep up" with the thread. I'm not surprised, as I've kept up with it and still sent a 20 book modern submission today. It's just good to know. No worries
  5. This is what I struggled with, apparently or maybe clink had to get their commission, but I never got a definite conclusion to my question about it. Other than it wasn't the seller of the slab, so perhaps comiclink is what's left
  6. This thread is full of things like that, enjoy!
  7. The OP is this thread who needs a refund? In bold, I think were saying the same thing, the seller decided not to sell through comic link, and I was pointing out needs to be cleared that THEY DIDNT GET PAID FROM COMICLINK EITHER. As that isnt clearly stated, it looks as though seller got paid then offered elsewhere for more? If comiclink had the money this whole time and could be an easy refund? Then why do we know all this about the seller, they shouldn't even be involved now? As they didnt go through with the transaction? If they didnt end the transaction first or succinctly that's one thing, but I want it clearly clarified if they made off with the book for trade and the $8,000. OP means original poster of this thread, and it is him so far out the book and refund, you have me confused. Hope I clarified
  8. If the original seller never got the money and isnt harboring anything that should be clearly stated in all this. I find it hard to believe the seller thinks there is no culpability for them, unless they never cashed said check AND somehow comiclink had it fall through cracks. Seller acts like even if they forgot to tell comic link, they're not in possession of the money, should be clearly stated.
  9. run away run away, monty python
  10. That's originally what I thought as far as "variants", but I wasn't too sure as it's been a long time since discussed
  11. True, and I've recently noticed from "odd staple placement or only 2 staples" or something like that, which this has
  12. This was mislabeled, it should have a mark jewelers notation. The only proof I have with the slab is the star stamp in the price box by the character. I filled out the mechanical error form and added one I had from a long time ago, that I had been meaning to send ( is labeled a variant but is the regular cover, but it was from a while ago.)
  13. Ya the star stamp now is all the proof I have as a reason for the mechanical error, currently. I'll send it back next day shipping tomorrow and hope it is resolved. I know it has it, but they'll prove it when they crack it. Imean the book is a textbook 7.5, I knew that when I sent it, but as it is an under copy and a mji, I figured why not? We'll see if it was worth it. I also have a defenders 4 at cgc since last October with a national Diamondinsert, one also there since March. ,
