  1. Thanks bro! They are out there and affordable, but still under the radar. Great cover that deserves to take off. Happy to grab a weIl-presenting copy before it does!
  2. Meanwhile, I have been rocking my "not buying in January" plan, quite clearly... But it's got the four food groups: bondage, headlights, torture, red dress
  3. Woowhoo! HUGE congrats JF! When did this land? I need backstory! Inquiring minds, y'know This should be posted in the most tenuously, marginally related places as well as all the proper ones!
  4. I think I really oughtta be commended for how well I am doing with this whole "not buying in January" thing. This is only my this exception in the last 10 days. I feel like Dom DeLuise in Fatso But I finally found a copy that presents well. Red dress...check...headlights...check....bondage...check...torture threat...check
  5. Okay, that's all I've got shot tonight. Goal is Tom Corbetts and a Charlton sci-fi tomorrow night...plus a romantic interlude...there's a 1959 straggler that didn't get into the romance round....then we will wrap up Saturday night with about a dozen Marvel and DC hero books, 12-cent Marvels and 10- and 12-cent DC's. Thank you to all buyers and lookers; do not hesitate to PM me on books. Thanks all!
  6. Amazing Adult Fantasy #7, musty n' low! Thank you again! Hard-core Archie collector throws down pre-hero gauntlet! Boo-yah! (Can I get a Spell-check on that???)
  7. SOLD! Speaking of Amazing Adult Fantasy #7, here it is, musty, dirty and rusty but complete. 1.0 tops. $20 (Strangely enough, the cover art was signed "Stan Lee & S. Ditko;" see lower left. That's a letter to Ditko that Ought to be written!)
  8. SOLD! Amazing Adventures #4, maybe 2.0. Centerfold detached at lower staple. Paper loss upper right of cover. $30 This one's more of a proto-hero than pre-hero book, as there is a Dr Droom story. (As many know, he came back later as Dr Druid and eventually became an Avenger for a fair length of time, a victory for stocky, balding, hairy guys everywhere.)
  9. Reminder -- these are low-grade books; post or PM any further questions not answered by text and pics. Low-grade, that is, except that World of Fantasy 17. A slabbed 6.5 went for $188 on eBay.
  10. Strange Tales #60; going with Good 2.0. Small cover pieces missing/chipping (note piece off back cover), Cover split to top staple but everything firmly attached. Glossy and flat. This one's just not out there in quantity. $60 NOW $50
  11. Okay, this one got dirty and wet but is a solid Fair reader in hand. Rusty staples. (Didn't he play for the Expos?) Tales of Suspense #6, a surprisingly under the radar key among Marvel hero prototype books, as this is Stan Lee's first use of "mutants" in a story. (See story splash, signed Joe Sinnott art, below). I saw a thread on here where you could grab the White Mountain copy, CGC 8.5, for $1200. Here's your reader to go with it. $40
