  1. Feel free to PM -- offers, requests for more pix, any questions at all, etc.
  2. Foxy fox on a Fox cover to Feldstein fox on a Fox cover
  3. First, congrats! I keep hoping to find one in the wild in an Archie pile and never do. My first reaction is 4.0 maybe 4.5 but should press higher from what you're saying, no? However, is that discoloration at the bottom of the back cover? Might that be limiting from Fine range?
  4. Just posted six out of the seven issues of "Hammer Horror" (Marvel UK magazine) as a lot over in Mixed.
  5. Just placed six out of the seven issues of "Hammer Horror" (Marvel UK magazine) as a lot in mixed.
  6. CLOSED Offering as one lot -- here we have six out of the seven issues (missing #4) of the Marvel UK magazine "Hammer Horror." They look to be on the high side of Fine, in the 7.0 range. I'll do (was $75 shipped) NOW $65 shipped in the U.S. (These are taller than Marvel mags and will probably require a medium Priority flat rate box for safe transit, I'm thinking.) Rules: 1st here wins; check or money order as I do not have Paypal; no HOS/listy sorts, returns with notification within 3 days of receipt and on your dime, unless I missed something.
  7. Nice to see them! Thx! Until I stumbled into the #1, I wasn't aware of any of them.
  8. Saw him this summer at Tanglewood with the Boston symphony Orchestra...for some reason, the stage made Mr Evans look much shorter than he actually is
  9. Thx! John, the owner of Excellent Adventures, is the creator of the Albany con. See ya there!
  10. No but I know the LCS owner who runs it, and everyone says he does a great job. (Knowing him, I'm sure it's accurate.) Plus, Joe Sinnott is coming, so how can you go wrong? I plan to finally go this year.
  11. Ok, this thread is now closed. Thanks to all buyers and lookers! Buyers, please PM me your ship-to address for postage calculations. I have a busy week at work but expect to have post office time Thursday or Friday. Thanks all!
  12. Just a last call heads-up as I plan to close this thread tonight at 11 p.m. PM's welcome; if I fall asleep I will clean up messages and posts in the early a.m. Before a long day (Strong possibility -- busy front-loaded week work wise and personal). Thanks again to all buyers and lookers, and to the Threadkrap Mafia: Liz, Porcupine48, Patriot6 & CliffR This thread has been a lot of fun; thanks especially to first-time buyers for participating in what I have come to call the read and release portion of my personal collecting journey. There is still a Love Tales #50 sitting in this thread...
  13. This one was claimed in my sales thread but it's still here to post while a great boardie preps its new home. From 1937:
  14. To all the buyers in this thread, there remain a pair of godawful condition but very tough to find freebie readers in this thread, Danger #5 and New Romances #6, so please grab yourself a reader. Also, if you read and release, these make great gateway drugs to the Golden Age for your Silver Age-only friends I will also take this opportunity to harangue my fellow boardies about leaving a Love Tales #50 out there....Bill Everett hair-pulling cat fight anyone???
  15. I know what you mean. A couple interior shots would have finished me. Glad you caved first, Liz!
  16. Awesome find and a tough book! I've seen it twice; this one and the one I bought. Yours is nicer. Where did you find it?
  17. I love this one too! I toy with bookending it with L.B. Cole's longshot of death cover as office decor!
