  1. I went with Sr as my fave regular, but my write-in would be Kane.
  2. I'd also like a scale. That "BRITTLE pages" in all caps just screams at you, making you think it's about to crumble. I would think the difficulty in implementing this is that brittleness is an ongoing process as the paper ages, right? Once encapsulated with micro chamber paper, does that necessarily arrest any stage of brittleness from further advancing? That may be an obstacle.
  3. As it is for many of us; we get it, Rick....I echo what everyone else has already said, but please tell us/clarify -- you're not going to stop participating in the community, correct? Just selling less frequently?
  4. For all that water-looking damage, the front still presents well. 3.0?
  5. Tough one...front looks to be in the 6's anyway but back looks like it belongs on a 2.5. Is that dirt or stains or foxing back there? Also, is it wavy (looks it)? Do you think it was ever wet? How are inside pages and staples (rusty/dirty)? Sorry for all the questions but the nature and extent of whatever is going on on the back cover seems it could swing it a bit.
  6. Agreed. Autographed books are writing on comics. Keep it. Neat as a gee whiz novelty but I wouldn't pay half what it went for either.
  7. Congratulations and thanks for sharing it! What an enjoyable run!
  8. I agree with all above. I do think the type of stuff you have posted, priced to move, will move. If it's al from that era, use the Gold/Silver/Bronze forum. But of all the good advice above (and it's all good) I would start with Shadroch's two main points about getting established here and getting some grading feedback on the Buddy Can you spare A Grade section. Good luck and wttb!
  9. I'd say so; congrats! I missed out; to my surprise, the antiques shop was able to sell it.
  10. I figure he's just playing it safe...y'know, it's somewhere in that range...between VG and NM....
  11. To another up close 'n personal battle on a #24
