  1. Lovelorn #9 VG+ 4.5. Foxing and dust shadow across top take an otherwise flat clean bright book from Fine range. Look at that spine! (WAS $25) NOW $20 SOLD! via PM
  2. First Love #9, about a VG...not that I can find another copy to compare it to. None on the census. "I Paid for Love!" Nuff said. (WAS $30) NOW $25
  3. Picking up tonight around 10 pm EST with more pre-code romance (including at least one not yet in the census), some Norm Saunders PCH, a book containing both Barks and Walt Kelly, and a 1937 Mickey Mouse Magazine (precursor to WDCS) with a Halloween-themed cover. And another freebie will go up too. If nothing else, stop in to see one of the most awesome splash pages of Ogden Whitney's career. Be here!
  4. I didn't realize it was his first cover. Cool! (And he started off with an awesome one.)
  5. So often true! I find it harder and harder to pass up. I might read and release with much of it (eventually, though not yet!) but I don't let it stay there when I find it.
  6. More Monday, but I have posted several already, including a freebie. Thank you for following up and being interested! It's the first thread currently in GSB, titled "Golden Age! Tough books and oddities..."
  7. Okay, first freebie of the thread .... It's incomplete, with the first two pages torn out, but hey it's Sugar and Spike #6. You don't find these everywhere. Free to first purchaser. CLAIMED! GOES TO MBFan!
  8. Action Comics #251, notable for the full-page ad touting Supergirl's debut in the next issue. VG plus; the cover has the texture of having been wet once. Slight stain under the white beard, but I suspect whatever was once spilled on it was dried immediately because the texture is more noticeable than the staining. $40 SOLD!
  9. Another one you don't see every day....Here's Howie #13...some fun GGA with Winnie the Wac, and there's a Howie in drag story too. VG due to vertical cover crease that breaks color and some staining top front cover, more visible on inside front cover. (WAS $25) NOW $15
  10. Secret Story Romances #3...let's go VG minus on a flat and bright book due to some paper loss at spine. Everything still securely attached. (WAS $20) NOW $15
  11. Love Adventures #5 VG. Note tear, creases lower right, small piece missing lower left corner. Otherwise nice and clean and flat and bright. (WAS $40) NOW $20
  12. Here is an Atlas pre-code romance key that is not even represented on the census. I'm calling it VG+ due to seemingly needless tape on the spine, but it's got the gloss and flatness of a F/VF. Al Hartley cover with a Bill Everett story featuring a cat fight with hair-pulling. (WAS $100) NOW $70
  13. Best of the West #9....Fair 1.0 because, unfortunately, the cover is completely spilt and not attached....another thing the cover is not is its not in the Gerber Photojournal...it eluded Ernie, don't let it elude you. Two on the census. (WAS $20) NOW $15
  14. Best of the West #11, Magazine Enterprises, 1953. There's only 1 on the census, an 8.5. This one was dealt to me as a VG/F but I'd call it VG+ (4.5) myself. Fred Guardineer, Fred Meagher, Frank Bolle, Ayers and an unsigned Frazetta-esque cover (Meagher, I suspect ) (WAS $50) NOW $40
