  1. I agree. Chopping and changing just creates confusion. Pick a policy and stick to it.
  2. And talking of arrival dates, here's a rare beast - an otherwise undated UK comic with an of the time owner date on it: This came in a lot with a story attached - that'll be coming up when I finally resurrect the Charlton work
  3. I do like a vintage Corrie interlude I spotted this down t' road, in t' Rovers, up t' bar on eBay yesterday - we know that Daredevil's second UKPV hiatus issues are #21 and 22, and that they exist duly stamped as follows.... ....and we also have #29 doing the rounds with our 'Goldstar' stamps on: Here's another example, not only with the shilling stamp, but also an arrival date: Mike's has as an on sale date of April 11th: How cool is that? I can't quite make out the full stamp wording, but it looks like something was paid. Duty, probably. Someone even had a go with a pen on this copy, knocking a whole 4d off the Goldstar price (well, one of them): Comics are great, aren't they
  4. I wonder if some of their graders have read it?
  5. OK. I didn't go through it too closely to see if that was the case. I've no idea what CGC do, but I suppose a reasonable approach with hole punched comics would be to grade the book as if the holes weren't there, then deduct an additional 'agreed' amount to take account of them (unless the book grades lower than that agreed amount of course). At the end of the day, it gets dark, and a hole's a hole (get your jokes in now) so it's not like comparing a big missing piece to a different sized piece. I could see how you could apply something uniform.
  6. There are some more graded examples in this thread Gad - Universal low grades and Qualified high grades from the looks of it:
  7. Snap! I only started the thread to gauge whether it was happening to everyone and because I had it five times in one day on Monday. We've been here before, and this is how it started last time, gradually getting worse until the site was virtually unusable. It is annoying if you're in the middle of posting something, especially if you lose it as a result, but if it's only happening a few times a day for a few minutes, as seems to be the case, and it doesn't get any worse, I guess we'll just have to live with it.
  8. Is it a coincidence that every film we've ever loved, and every TV show we remember fondly, had fabulous music? I think not...
  9. No, 'on War Rocket Ajax' is code for a trip to the shit house.
  10. It was me and you https://boards.cgccomics.com/topic/471133-the-distribution-of-us-published-comics-in-the-uk-1959~1982/?do=findComment&comment=12396936
  11. I think Arnold (Miller) was a T&P line at some point. I've posted about it before, but can't remember where.
  12. Nice. Baker and Kirby? The Arnold / T&P thing gets confusing with this title, as I recall.
  13. It does, yes. I had two back in the day, a nice one and a crappy one. Can't find a saved image anywhere though, annoyingly - it's not in order in my old ASM folder. Must've filed it elsewhere, as I made a nice custom label for it....
