  1. It is me, yes. What other fool would try to document every pence variant? Not my report though - I piggy backed on Jon McClure's. Maybe next year. Those GA's are luverly. Reprints of course, but still luverly. Post more. In fact, start a thread.
  2. I have to say that I never gave this much thought until recently when old Barry Bum-Smell Hands put his collection up on ebay.
  3. Very cruel and uncomfortable. At least buy the kid a baby seat.
  4. I wouldn't bother with it Tele. They let any old idiot in nowadays...
  5. Ta KOK Shilling Copy Indeed! Pah! Two copies please mister
  6. I've never really been that fussed about the value of these books, as hopefully my threads show, but you can't deny this seller has done quite well with his tatty old pence keys
  7. Here's the Teen-Age Love upgrade that Pat posted and then I posted this morning. It looks so much brighter in hand. I love books with multiple cover scenes and strong colours. Whether you like Charlton comics or not, I think you'd have to be dead to not like this cover. Even with the intrusion of the Treasure Chest competition. Is "TO CK 2" a hidden message I wonder? I like to think so. Wonderful comic! God, I love collecting these
  8. Yeah. Either that or they don't like lizards
  9. Cheers Paul. You know what it's like - you go to these things with a silly notion in your head that someone new will be there, with a big box of pence Charltons, Archies and Gold Keys that no one else is interested in. But, of course, it never happens. The comic content here was worse than the MCM, but I suppose it was a Film and Comic con. Let's face it - comics were likely the last thing on 95% of the attendees minds.
  10. Mebbe. All part of the mystery Reg Here are the interior Spidey shots from the Partners For Life book, which I'll read again soon. It's been a while since I last did and I tend to forget everything very quickly...
  11. Maybe it had a significance to him? Or maybe he couldn't get out that day, so he pulled that big case of location photos out from under his bed and....
  12. So, how was it? Well, it was fun. I enjoyed it. Not too crowded, and a good atmosphere. The comic content was lousy, but I expected that. Here's what I came away with: I went on my own of course, and that can bring on a touch of melancholy as you watch the families having fun, the mates having a laugh. The joy in little kids faces when they meet what appears to be their idols. It's bitter sweet and can sometimes make you wonder where it all went wrong.... But I did get two comics and the chance to share this report. And, I got scolded by a Dalek! That doesn't happen everyday (get your wife jokes in now) And besides, as the man himself once said, what else can we do on a Sunday?
  13. Well. Not much more I'm afraid. A quick attempt to Bat Touch the back of the Bat Car. No such Bat Luck Bat Typical!
  14. Some celebrities. And Iron Man. And that bloke out of the Guardians thing. And a copper. And a Ginger, with a 'My Happy Urns' bag.
  15. This one calls himself the - Oh. It's out of focus. Sorry. Dockers Dog anyone?
  16. This mystery box thing seems to be all the rage doesn't it. I bought one and all it had in it was a VFN AF15, Hulk #1 and a Dazzler #12. What a let down. I was really hoping for a Dazzler 10.
  17. This one calls himself the Doctor. The Baker II Doctor no less. Either that or Hair Bear has come dressed up. Original cat badge from the looks of it. I had one of them. I like this man. Meanwhile, Courtney Love continues her come back tour unnoticed.
