  1. I do think it’ll go higher but some bidders will undoubtedly think what you’re thinking. Not enough Cap!
  2. It’s a beauty but I think you’re pretty spot on. Not higher anyways. Now on a good day......two bidders with I don’t give a blank attitudes and the bankrolls to duke it out....
  3. Will the final bid meet or exceed the post it note price?
  4. Hey Scott if you were presented with the choice to ink a strip of either Peanuts or CH, just for kicks and you could only choose one??? Scott Williams over Watterson or Schulz?
  5. It's so close. Watterson harder to get. If I could only choose one...ah it's impossible for me. I love CH and I luv Peanuts.
  6. https://images.app.goo.gl/Bj3hqBPV9wuC5NR88 As we mature and grow in our response to art and the creators, we maybe learn and see things we didn’t see at first. •Please share an artist that grew on you after initial disdain for their work. •Please give specific examples •share with us how your feelings developed over time. What did you hate/dislike vs learn to love/like He hate me, he hate me not ! For me it was Moebius. As a kid with few exceptions I loathed Jean Giraud’s work especially on Comic heroes. I thought he was maybe the worst artist I had ever seen. I didn’t get it at all. His Iron Man poster I thought made our hero look like a heroin addict. I couldn’t enjoy the lines, the foreign and unrecognizable vision. I compared to other artists. I tried to see what he saw. Complete irritation and impatience for Jean’s work. Then I grew up and found his work in Heavy Metal and elsewhere. He won me over. John Buscema summoned my favorite Silver Surfer and Kirby was the GOAT. However The Surfer by Jean Giraud blows me away. It’s so singularly alien, I believe Jean Giraud saw things beyond our earthly understanding. Without hesitation Moebius is one of my absolute favorite artists sans qualifiers. Have fun with this. I truly respect and look forward to what you all come up with.
  7. You’re probably right but I hope you’re wrong. I read my first Freak Brothers when my uncle bought some issues from a head shop in 1978. I was 10. I am 💯 % anti drug my whole life (I know who cares) but....these guys fascinated me. Freewheeling Franklin, Phineas and Fat Freddy + cat. The art, the stories and the crazy situations they’d get into. a guilty pleasure for me and I might buy a page one day. Please please get this one right!!!!! Gilbert Shelton has a say in the show so..,..,
  8. Erik Larsen Spider-Man interior pages. The last two I tried for went combined +3-4k and 6k. John Buscema & Alcala Savage Sword of Conan HA pages went +4k and +5k.
  9. I asked a Donelly about this and he said everything has appreciated in value. I asked for specifics and he said inquire. When I asked if there was anything they owned that had depreciated he said, let me ask my brother.
  10. if you can get it more power to you. I used to let this bother me, when I was a rookie. Once you sell it.....move on. Now dealers calling out buyers for flipping.... ha ha ha ha....please.
  11. On many interior pages Kane for me is like Cano limping to second base. He comes up a bit short. Now Kane Green Lantern, Spiderman and John Carter Warlord of Mars. Sky high like JD’s game tying blast and Hum a na hum a na rockets red glare like Pete’s laser into left field to decide a double header sweep!
  12. This is a very nice page. I’m not an expert in Kane values but I believe a few of the board members are. I bet they private message you. You might get a few offers. Good luck
  13. Methinks.....it be time to Release the Krakken! Anyone know said whereabouts of....the Krakken? meanwhile I think we just keep peppering this cad and eBay with take it down fury mails.
  14. Sometimes pulling punches really means keeping one’s hands in pocket while the other fellas alive to do something about it.
  15. May the hounds of Hell Chase this Dirt bag back under the rock he cane from. We’re not saving lives on this board. I’d like to think we’re saving folks a few bucks though! yeah board!!! boo art thief fraud creeps
  16. "Do not speak ill of the dead" R I P Gentleman Jim Mooney
  17. I agree I already had one friend contact me about it. I’m worried someone will think they’re getting the deal of the century and be the “winning” bidder of a piece of S#i+. i agree most of the bids are coming from this thief and some of his friends. ahh this burns me up but thanks for catching this one gang. i caught a fraud 22x33 painting supposedly done by David Finch and Jim Lee for sale on the boards. While I was contacting David to back me up that it was a fake I saw a board member “I’ll take it” post and the item closed. David let me know it was 100% fake. I warned the board member before he paid for it.The other board member selling was shocked it was a fake and I provided info to him also. He bought it on eBay. He’s trying to get PayPal to get the money back. IMG_ David said he didn’t paint anything this size in oil. timlin_1808 apparently passed this one off according to the selling board member.
  18. Jim Mooney not top 5 but hardly forgettable. His inks on Romita Sr are the best. Journeyman status no. He was extremely talented and everything he touched looked better.Too harsh to dismiss his work. Beautiful artist who is no longer underrated and recognized by many as a fine artist.
  19. Well said John. This thread opened up a lot of different ways to approach this. Top 5 • longevity •pure talent (slippery slope eye of the beholder) • Amount of work produced International artist in separate categories or all together sounds like a new thread
