  1. Pretty sure the artist Mike Wieringo and the page says Spider-Man/FF 31page 21,...seems easy but I just can’t find the comic that matches. Appreciate anyone shows me a image of the comic.
  2. Yes that’s Erik Larsen....definitely not 70’s or 80’s..... had to be 2000’s. He’s a very hot artist known for Amazing Spider-Man. He’s also known for Savage Dragon. That’s a neat keepsake though.
  3. With all due respect to Ramona Fradon, I’ve got 100+ items ahead of Metamorho on ye ole checklist.
  4. Passed away after heart surgery December 2. A true legendary illustrator.
  5. Ha love it. Babe Ruth card found in a plastic baggie in a drawer. Stuff like that never happened to me.
  6. Comps This comes up a lot The main source recited time after time is past HA sales. Its time to put comps where they belong. Way way down on the totem pole of how to determine what to pay for an item. Especially in 2020. Most collectors don’t have access to “all” the private sale and trade information to truly construct a reliable comp.We need to look for information others don’t have. There are people spending wild amounts of money simply because they can. As a seller you can exploit that. As a buyer beware. That’s what makes you viable as an art collector. Following the sheep leads to a nice long fall over the edge of a cliff. I suspect most collectors today are in over their heads. Gene is right. burn pre 2020 comps and the value of money? Forget about it.

  8. So if it is this one jaybuck43 is talking about...... I still don't think it's ugly or bad art......but $175K seems foolish.
  9. Superman Hulk from my personal collection and Spider-Man Lifeline Cover offered on the marketplace from a buddy I represent.
  10. If you’re talking about ASM 299 you certainly are paying a lot for nostalgia. Although art is subjective and you are entitled to your opinion, there’s no way I can agree its ugly bad art seriously that’s absurd on so many levels. If you’re talking about a different piece of art then oops.....
  11. You can’t beat this page.... an absolute classic. Should sell quick at that price.
  12. Hey I’m a native New Yorker. I see everything as a house of cards even these results. It’s in my nature. Every opportunity is just another chance to be disappointed, that’s what Great Grandpa Grape 🦍 used to say anyways. But until the robust reveals the bust I’ll live in my fantasy world.😂
  13. Well those who took over $200K win but had to bet $250 to win $100 or $250 now $350.... increments at $10K now so no thrill bidders!!! I would say our hobby is very robust at this moment in history.
  14. I can think of a few boardies that might jump on this haha!!! Really a sweet page!!
  15. No one I know will buy this. Not if they want to keep ole grapeape as a friend. I’d have to walk away from ya.... cuz ya done lost yer ever lovin mind!!! I expect Theo will now raise the cover to $79K. 🍇🦍______ ___ ______
  16. Nah. I’m just going to wait for “Theo” to list on eBay a Spider-Man interior page that in his opinion is 10x better then any ole cover Kane or Romita ever did.
  17. I would pay for it if we could talk to them live/ask questions
  18. Some really cool pieces in there. 10% off when the other guys are tacking 20% on? It’s a no brainer. 🍇 🦍 approved
  19. John Romita Sr. Amazing Spider-Man 1996 SDDC. We talked about the Marvel Bullpen, New York....just a genuine warm and kind human being.
