    In 1983 Americomics produced a one shot with the Charlton heroes. The story ends in a cliff hanger, and they explain that the story will not be finished because the characters had been sold to another publisher. (They didn't mention DC by name)

    Probably the same reason Superman wasn't on the cover of Action Comics#2. They didn't realize how popular he would end up being.

    My LCS in the 80's. I was scanning the new releases looking for something good. The shop owner points out a book and says, "This just came in. Check it out." I thought it looked dumb and put it back on the shelf. It was TMNT #1

    I had never heard of this show. Just watched the first 2 episodes and liked it. It's like a cross between Deadwood and Kung Fu (the original series not the new one.)
