  1. Nickel City Con with on site grading guests. Shatner, Nichols, Billy Dee Williams, Bob Layton, Graham Nolan, Michael Golden, Ken Lashey and Flash Gordon Sam Jones.
  2. Ron, I live in Buff too, last year Neal Adams was here which I thought was great. Does anyone now of a show that both CGC and Adams are both attending? Shatner is there and I don't know if he is doing any signings outside of photos? I have a few Star Trek books that I want signed.
  3. I always thought it was great, funny. Hope I didn't offend. I saw your ID photo and thought you would like the Dude doll photo.
  4. The Dude and Stan Hang Out, this is for 01TheDude because he was posting when I was in Diapers. Enjoy
  5. When I think of the bronze age of books I remember being shocked a lot, Speedy did drugs, Harry did drugs, Gwen Died and you had horror super hero's. Because of the great shock moments I now expect and hope to be surprised and I'm disappointed when I'm not. That is really what I liked about the Bronze, with the Marvel Silvers you had Wow and the DC silver camp but never surprise.
  6. I forgot to mention this is a sweet copy. A very nice 9.0 do you have the grader notes on this?
  7. Movies are changing collecting a lot. Character like Starhawk and Damage Control held no real interest to me because I felt they were under developed. But in the hands of an actor like Stallone and a director like Gunn they can become more. I'm excited to see where they go.
  8. I was wondering the same thing, plus what is the first CGC Damage Control book? It will effect price
  9. Move quickly because it is already being noted in eBay.
  10. To follow up on this thread, looks like Tony Stark's new company Damage Control cuts into the Keaton's character's salvage business and causes Keaton to become the Vulture. Just read about it on Screen rant
  11. Which book does CGC list as the first when they grade? I hope MCP 19, I just bought a few :)
  12. Why? I thought the first appearance was Marvel Age Annual 4
  13. Is there any action on Damage Control books? They are in the new Spider Man movie.
  14. Great copy. I love this book and the Adams/O'Neil run. I have a few signed by Adams that I value a lot, I'm hoping to get Mr.O'Neil to sign them, has anyone heard of a signing this year?
  15. I find my lower grades are always things inside which is funny because they are never seen again after grading but that is the art of grading, the whole book. Sometimes like this it seems a mystery. Beautiful book, congrats on a good buy.
  16. I did read them, I read most of my books. Why have them if you don't read them?
  17. I was crazy lucky that the books are still in such a great shape.
  18. I am really happy with how well they held up. I moved a lot over the years. Plus I had two kids to yell at, "Don't touch the Comics, they are not for Kids!". I was a crazy dad who had comics and won't let them read them. Lots of therapy needed now I'm sure.
  19. I got back my 182, came in at a 9.4. Fantastic book. I'm very happy with the grade. Like the other books it was bought at a news stand/ Stationary store when I was a kid. I was bagging books before they made comic book bags, I used the larger penny saver bags that I got from a friend who delivered the PSer.
  20. Roy Thomas was interviewed about Marvel/Netflix not using an Asian actor and he said “I try not to think about it too much. I have so little patience for some of the feelings that some people have. I mean, I understand where it’s coming from. You know, cultural appropriation, my god. It’s just an adventure story. Don’t these people have something better to do than to worry about the fact that Iron Fist isn’t Oriental, or whatever word? I know Oriental isn’t the right word now, either.” “It’s very easy to second-guess anything. You can argue about Tarzan, you can argue about almost any character who came up then is bound to be not quite PC by some later standard or other,” he said. “Okay, so you can make some adjustments. If they wanted to kill off white Iron Fist and come up with one who wasn’t Caucasian, that wouldn’t have bothered me, but neither am I ashamed for having made up one who was. He wasn’t intended to stand for any race. He was just a man who was indoctrinated into a certain thing.” I think the show is very well done, first few episodes could move quicker but still well done. Need a Shang Chi show. I'm fine with a story about a man who belongs nowhere in this world but wants to. If he was changed to an Asian character would it still work, maybe?
  21. I love seeing graded books here, it gives you an idea about CGC and how it grades. I like seeing all the high grades but I learn more from the mid to lower grade books.
  22. crazy fun book with a hero death, really marvel magic. Cool cover.
  23. Crazy big heads on the cover, skinny bodies too. Strange book.
  24. I loved the "Razor edge, Shangri-la" elements of Iron Fists origin. I know it is dated and a little racist but I love the magic, unknown culture stuff. I can't wait to see the show.
