  1. Quick question for other ASM collectors..  What is the second most important Spidey key issue?  At first I was thinking "of course it has to be ASM #1", but then I also thought that doesn't have a significant first appearance like 2,3, and 14.  Is it even close, or obviously #1 and I am just overthinking (or under) the whole thing.  Just wanted some other informed opinions.  Thanks

This was my first successful marriage and I wanted to show off the happy newly weds. I'll post some before and after pics.

I bought a complete Detective Comics 26 from the boards with a married front cover and no back cover. I really wasn't looking for this particular comic, but it was love at first sight. A pretty front cover and the first time batman's name ever appeared in print in a cool teaser ad.

I started hunting for a back cover immediately. After a few months,  I found an incomplete Action 11 that shared the same back cover.  The cover was already split,  which I was happy about,  because I didn't want to perform surgery on an 81 year old comic.

I sold the rest of Action 11 to a board member who was able to complete his project.

I then sent the book to Kenny Sanderson who leaf casted the cover back together and did some cleaning and pressing to make them match.  Kenny's work is amazing. Couldn't be happier.

I'm including a ton of pics of the before, the leaf casting process and after.

    and already at 5.5k, nice!

Too bad these charity auctions are not truly reflective of market value.  I have a few pages from that run and would be pleased if they are now $5K pages :P

Agreed. Do you think a nice panel page from this arc would get half that under normal circumstances?

    Green Lantern #14 Winter 1944

Classic Sphinx cover! Maybe my favorite GL cover. Only selling because I got a better one.

Cover neatly detached from book. Several small tears. A couple tiny pieces out of right side edge. Centerfold well attached. Supple interior pages.

Was $150. Got this from the lovely Sharon right here on the boards. Selling it at what I paid for it.

Now $135. (Less than I paid for it...)

it has a married detached centerfold. Cover is detached and has upper and lower splits. Interiors are pretty nice. First Penguin cover in Batman title. With Penguins being in the next Batman film there is some chance for appreciation. A similar graded copy with less eye appeal sold on eBay for 317, so let’s price this one at $285 Reduced to SOLD
