  1. Damn! You're having a better Monday than I am. What a feat, the whole run. Save the best for last? In hindsight, I would have been much better off if I had purchased the #1 first. I'm now complete on Subby, Torch, Marvel and Cap. Need to finish All Select, All Winners, Daring, USA - so lots more to go. Really, really impressive. Congratulations!
  2. What dealer.? I bought the book from Greg White as unrestored. Greg the Kissimmee Queen :-) I've been to his trailer once to look at comics. Living with his mom on the same property. Never been to his warehouse? I did see him pay pennies on the dollar for a full old school grocery paper bag of DC SA keys from a little old lady. Pretty sure he paid somewhere around $200 for a bag that had some sweet Books including showcase 4,8, etc. and most if not all of the same era keys. My memory has faded a bit. I bought one GA book because I drove so far but it was obvious that he was not on the up and up with many books. Sorry about your trim. Thanks.

  4. Do not trust dealers who will not get anything professionally graded. i have learned my lesson. P.S. Yes, CGC screwed up the label but does it really matter on this book?
  5. You are amassing quite the collection! Very nice! Thanks Badger!! the shot would immensely improve with an All-Select #1!!! I like #2 as well but a low grade #1 has been on my radar for a LOOOONG WHILE!! such a great book you got there!!! it would be a highlight to any collection!! Thanks Gino.
  6. That Speed is incredible! I have never seen it before.
  7. average is, after slow but steady upgrading, probably 6.5-7.0'ish. highest: lowest [cover was split before restoration]: Verrrrry nice. I apologize if the drool comes through the monitor; feel free to send me any I might need to clean.
  8. THANKS...so far I have 45 graded with two more on the way. mm Someday you should see if you could get a group shot of them and post in the group shot thread.
  9. What do you think the average condition of your run is? What is the highest graded issue? What is the lowest? I wonder how many complete runs of Captain America there are; you're accomplishment has to be pretty darn rare.
  10. You are amassing quite the collection! Very nice!
  11. It is a great cover and that is a nice copy! Ok, now I'm leaning more towards the #31. No, No, Nothing happening here. This isn't the issue you want. This is not the issue I was looking for...I may move along now. Hey wait a minute, don't you have some nice Bark's stuff to post in a different thread? I'm always looking for more Captain America Comics but only from 3-74. I can't afford the first two issues. Those are great books. I hear you on the 1 and 2; I doubt I will ever own either of them. Still, my goal is 3 through 51 and I have around 20 of them already so I'm on my way!
  12. Wow, that is just incredible. If you tell me if comes with a three foot tall octopus !

  15. I am going to get the full run of AS. Its a small run and I'm pretty close to complete right now. Still, I prefer the USA 12 cover and the Cap 31 is a good deal so...
  16. Again, congratulations! These are some awesome books. I got me some Christmas money and I'm debating if I should get an All Select #9, a USA #12, or a Cap 31. The USA #12 would be the most expensive but I am leaning towards it.
  17. Wow! WTTBs! I cannot wait to see what you post next!
  18. I think this book puts you on the playing field quite nicely! You got it for free?
  19. I remember picking up US #219 off the newsstand, as well. I was actively collecting other books but that issue made me start buying all of Gladstone's monthly duck output. The combination of Barks reprints with new Rosa stories was impossible to resist.
  20. Good one! I'm convinced that no truly high-grade copy of that book exists. Does anyone know of one? Interesting, I didn't know these were so hard to find in grade. I'll pull my copy later but other than my FC #386 my early Scrooge issues are usually quite rough; proud survivors of many reads!! That is interesting. Another book to add to my want list! I know that Donald Duck #26 and #27 are hard to find in 9.2+; are there any other Disney books anyone knows about? The Peter Pan Giant Size Treasury was tough. Is it still?
