  1. Double spread not splash. Or perhaps half a double page splash
  2. If the stripe is even and only the amount seen in that 102 I'd buy it all day. I mean that specifically on low demand low pop stuff as life is too short to wait for something that may never show up. But yeah on high pop stuff pass on those slabs
  3. My WAG prediction $129K+Heritages Vig , approx 154K Total. I'm seeing some color rubbing and loss. Weak-ish 9.6 IMHO.
  4. Thanks - now i get it. Taking that into account IMHO it's a damnable lie from the seller/dealer.
  5. one ? if the items were consecutive cgc serial numbers how did census not reflect there were 2? Unless same situation as in my last post and the number jumped from 1 to 3
  6. I purchased a book from this seller 1.5-2 years back. Book at date of listing had 2 pop in 9.8 and seller made a huge deal about that in Caps in auction description. . Seller timed their 5 day auction perfectly so the census would not reflect the one they were selling which they knew to be the 3rd in 9.8 As crooked as any Comic or Comic Art or trading card dealer. Not to say there aren't any honest ones but in all seriousness in 4 decades of collecting I've never personally met any. Only varying degrees of dishonest. IMHO honest people don't become collectible dealers. BTW I do recall the seller shipped item first thing the next day and packaged it extremely well - well enough I still recall unraveling what seemed to be half a football field of colored bubble wrap.
  7. Thanks. Do you know approx/estimated current amount to get a % of the buyer's fee?
  8. Liars is as liars does.
  9. When for all realistic intents and purposes a company has a virtual monopoly they simply do whatever they want whenever they want and customer/client be damned. The only way to change that is if enough decide to not utilize a company's goods or services. Sadly that does not appear even close to occurring.
  10. I've noticed 1970's Marvel and to lesser extent DC action and battle panel pages are hitting new highs. While I don't have any specific examples my bids which I thought were solid contenders are getting totally blown out of the water. Then again it could be "Protection Bidding" from the usual shady suspects...
  11. CLINK "Where Our Website Code is Older than many of the Collectibles We Auction"
  12. Hobbies which rely on Protection Bidding and or Spur of the Moment Impulse Buys, are those that likely lack long term viability.
  13. Human, Inhuman, AI or otherwise deebag is as deebag does.
  14. Exactly my thought! For 22k+taxes you could have multiple A level strippers or porn stars for more than a night.
  15. and Greggy will still be the one to get there first to scoop up anything you might really want.
  16. As I recall Burkey admitted on these very forums that he shills his own Heritage Auctions. It's totally legal in Texas, but likley immoral and unethical everywhere.
  17. Other than far and few exception/outliers everytime I thought a published pre 1986 Marvel or DC Superhero piece would go down in price I have been wrong. Plausible that will occur one day and I look forward to it, but not sure it will happen. What already has occurred is its become a sector of the hobby for the wealthy or those who got in a long while ago.
  18. Limits are draconian and hurtful given recent CGC recommendation due to multiple scandals. Not to mention the current limit helps enable fraud! Seriously CGC you are using AWS there are a number of AI implementations that can prevent bot traffic.
  19. Mylar inherently filters a bit over 99% of UV's. For Comic Slabs go BCE 914M2
  20. Yet another book that went up in page quality after additional decade or more had elapsed. CGC's page quality denotation is a total farce!
