  1. IIRC just a tad higher than "run" issues from that year, about $150-175. Those with GPA memberships I'm sure can be more precise.
  2. Perhaps it was done on purpose? Great way to make it seem like you are doing something but too fearful of Discovery Process, etc to actually let a suit progress. In effect it's akin to a retraction, something which few ever know about or remember...
  3. To all who spent $500, $600, $700, $800, $900, $1000-$1500 or more on ASM 210, to quote The Joker HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Prepare to get big-time hosed! I predict a plummeting to under $500 for the newsstand and under $300 for direct sale before year end and then another 10-20% off of that next year. P.S. Ain't saying I told you so, after you were scoffed at, one of life's simple pleasures
  4. Blind squirrel finding a nut territory or a broken clock is correct twice a day. Want mostly accurate graded raw? Then avoid the 5280 feet up folks and try mycomicshop or worldwide comics
  5. ^ or a test/pilot to work things out before roll-out to every category?
  6. Easier is debatable, as they have always done that (remember it's legal in Texas). What extended bidding does is always enable shilling to the maximum as being plausible (not a snowball's chance they don't), as opposed to live "real-time" bidding which by it's very nature had tempering effect on that aspect.
  7. I do wonder how that would play out in front of a Jury? But we'll never know as the defendants actually showing up or responding in any manner is pigs fly territory.
  8. Saddened, but not surprised to see the overall lack of responses on this thread. So many who post here who have and will continue to make money off of Delbo's art can't even be bothered with a simple RIP message. Jose's art brings back many great memories for me of picking up later 70's WW comics in discount bins in the late 80's. May He Rest in Peace.
  9. Eliminating all those pesky live auction bidders who don't show all the cards in advance is yet another way to shill bid to the max.
  10. Very sad and horrible. @NoMan the first 2 words "too bad" of your post, while not your intention, to some may be taken as being non-caring
  11. I don't recall if this thread or another on this forum but in 2021/2022 I mentioned, to those that scoffed at even the very mention of bubble, that history would prove me correct and that I was an "I told you so" person. Well I was not kidding I am one. I will take your comment as a semblance of validation and will limit the "I told you so's" on this thread to 1 per quarter. No need to expect another until at least April and to Groo it up I'll pair it with defining mulching.
  12. Appears my 2022 prediction on DD1 was correct. Regarding Pacific 1, I was wrong as it is actually settling lower than my prediction! Hoard? If a personal thing OK, but from fiscal standpoint does not seem wise. Groo had its "15 minutes" and it ain't getting that again. Something I'm positive Evanier will agree with. New Predictions - if at a bidding auction: - DD1 will end up long haul in the $240-$300 range. - Pacific #1 will settle in the $75-$125 range Yes possibly lower than 2019 FMV on those as interest has waned, supply is plentiful and the true Groo collectors fans left likley all have copies.
  13. <sarcasm> A Comic Store Owner/Dealer would never do anything the least bid shady </sarcasm>
  14. As was mentioned it was a bubble, thus near exact timing (only gleaned from hindsight) was critical. https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/story/2021-04-14/nfts-intellectual-property-marvel-dc-comics-who-gets-to-make-millions Edit: As it turned out he did not get the millions as Time-Warner said wait no so fast...
  15. @Tubthumper82 I applaud your moral fiber! Most on this forum had they received what they believe to be a gift grade would using a dollar sign emoji. In your case seems like the book received a proper grade
  16. Vice-Versa! but not https://www.viceversanyc.com/#home , although I do recommend it and will be stopping back again this Oct during NYCC

  18. Careful what you say about the Bay, high up Exec's have been known to send enforcers after folks. Proving once again Exec's at a Large Corporation will do anything to ensure their bonus is not lacking by even a single thin dime. https://www.justice.gov/usao-ma/pr/two-former-ebay-executives-sentenced-prison-cyberstalking
  19. Not the only ones it seems... case Certified Guaranty Company, LLC v. Zanello court U.S., Southern District of New York summary Certified Guaranty Co., which provides authentication and grading for comic books, sued customers Ulises Zanello and Bree Riva for trademark infringement, false advertising and breach of contract on Feb. 2 in New York Southern District Court. The suit, brought by Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp, accuses the defendants of obtaining high-value comic books in holders with grade labels from the plaintiff, then swapping the comic books with lower-graded comics and reselling them, thereby deceiving customers into paying inflated prices for incorrectly-graded comic books. The plaintiff filed a similar lawsuit against two former employees on Jan. 31 in Florida Middle District Court. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 1:24-cv-00797, Certified Guaranty Co. LLC v. Zanello et al. 02/02/2024
  20. Had times as child, a yell would ring out for me to come downstairs and when I got there was told "turn to channel...."
