  1. They will do Nothing. They also do not care about their perception. Their parent company is simply squeezing an orange, when the juice being to slow to a trickle they will simply toss it in the trash (sell it off).
  2. Agreed. The true risk is when, uhm I mean if they damage or lose it then claim amount will only equal the service level of submission. 5-10 years back highly uncommon, but nowadays it's close to a coin-flip
  3. Is there a story? I've never seen the name before.
  4. Folks let me know if any demand to post rest of the article Brock referred to in his post. @RockMyAmadeus why confused?
  5. thanks for your post and Thanks also to @delekkerste for starting this thread!
  6. Interesting since my post they reduced the Roy T signed Smiths from 100 to 75 and bumped up the Buscema to 125.
  7. Based on your synopsis, Gold Key Twilight Zone or Boris Karlof also a possibility
  8. A scan to go along with what @Brock mentioned: From June 1980 Comic Reader a follow up: In July 1980 Comic Reader, simply a list. Some (all?) of the books noted are now known to only have been in Pre-Pack's Aug 1980 same situation as July:
  9. Nopes. O.Y.L. Tossing out a guess that end of next year/2024 new direct sales norm will be under 2500
  10. Perhaps it should be considered a "dual' or "perfect storm" or "franken" bubble.
  11. Same incessant whining about prices in the Card forums, by the same dimwits or is it liars? (IE Kenny Goldin + PWCC + 4SC) who said in 2021 it was not a bubble and prices would continue to skyrocket due to "new money" in the hobby and similar nonsense. The only answers are; 1) adapt or 2) be young enough to wait it out until next bubble in 20-30 years. Tiny/Small seller's perhaps sell books at whatever you can right now and grab 10k (max limit per calendar year) before end of year, then 10K in Jan of Series I Bonds while they are at 5.27% (until April). Of course many other ways to earn 5% or more right now without Seller fees!
  12. Delightfully absurd cover. In the story the name "Top Banana" is deservedly ridiculed A Mark Evanier classic!
  13. A 1999 raw purchase returned this week. "Wanna Bet, Bukie" - in all seriousness what on earth does that mean in the context of this excellent Byrne/McLeod cover?
  14. From my May 1998 Motor City Con Showcase New England Bronze Age haul. Picked up 40 or so 1970's books the same day the Seinfeld Series finale aired that met my then rigid standards.
  15. Thanks! Great series right to the end! I now recall it was difficult back then for me to find 51 and higher in the condition i sought (now called CGC9.8) due to my LCS ordering the minimum amount of pieces. I had to go to multiple shops on release days in search of them. The hunt way back then did pay off, my recently submitted 54 just came back to me. back cover presents a true challenge on 54
  16. Out of yellow seems like correct answer
  17. 1996 raw purchase returned slabbed this week. Back then these ran $10, which was way down from the $50+ they commanded raw at start of the same decade.
