  1. The way Heritage is doing the order made me miss bidding on a couple of books because I didn't realize at first that the books weren't alphabetical. I've already forgotten which books, so I guess they weren't that important to me.
  2. Creepy, meddling old bag to creepy old thing in a bag.
  3. Do you mean Phil Kaltenbach? Maybe that one was just a way to pay respect after his untimely demise. (I personally couldn't care less who owned a comic book before I did unless that person was the original owner—and even then I don't care much.)
  4. "Page quality must be nice as well." That's a bit vague; the Savannah Pedigree has below-average pages for the era that its books are from.
  5. Book from the collection of a former CGC grader to a book from the collection/inventory of a former CGC grader (West Stephan).
  6. Helpless blonde in 1939 to heroic blonde in 1949.
  7. I don't think so. If he were English, that one tooth wouldn't be white; it would be stained the color of tea.
  8. Red-suited fellow on a sled to redheads in red scarves and red mittens dragging a red sled.
  9. Ordinary fellow in a red shirt to creepy fellow in a red shirt.
  10. Seriously? I don't use wire transfers, but I thought that they were most often used for large transactions like mortgage payoffs, etc.
  11. It matters because closing it seems like an underhanded move that may have been the beginning of a cover-up—until CGC realized that a cover-up couldn't be pulled off. The reason for the closure of the thread is of massive import in terms of assessing CGC's integrity under it's new ownership—which is a concern to many board members, especially in light of what many feel has been the shockingly lax grading of the books in the Promise Collection. Complete forthrightness about why the thread was closed would help allay the fears of those board members who have misgivings about the direction in which things have been headed lately.
  12. I had no idea that was the case; it's certainly better than $10 per book.
