  1. Appreciate the thoughts - still looking for some further input I imagine if it were published someone would have been able to ID already...
  2. Cool Recap! The FF page was a Thing "Clobberin' Time" page so was tempting... There were about 100 - 150 people watching the last dealmakers One plus was it was fast - entire show with recap was just over an hour Last month, they had a better show where I picked up a low-end Sook page from Glen with Batman and a Byrne Hulk 319 page with some awesome inked sketches on the back from Bechera so I watch all the shows...never know what might pop up. I do wonder why folks don't bring more "A-" art and just price it strong and see what happens... Mark
  3. From LA ArtCon Read description on CAF for further details: http://cafurl.com?i=26405 Also, picked up a Subby 55 page that is on my CAF as well - great show!
  4. Not sure - I know I picked it up on a lark off eBay maybe 20 years ago....
  5. How often are you knocked out of your socks on a commission? Well, I got a background added from Gerhard to my Umiga Young Frankstein Creeps drawing and WOW. I strongly suggest you think about what plain background art you have that could be taken to an entirely different level by Gerhard Here is it on my CAF: https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1740081
  6. Hello All, I was scanning some new acquisitions - will post some to CAF soon - when I thought, heck, I should scan this page I picked up off ebay maybe 20 years ago and see if anyone recognizes the artist. So please take a gander and reply in line - certainly, may not be a future professional at all... Mark
  7. I sold a $1000s book to Gambit - he paid promptly and we got the fastest coast to coast shipping in my memory (Deal done on Saturday, book arrived Monday) Easy communication and smooth deal!
  8. I didn't watch this dealmakers as I didn't want to stare at my phone during the 'live' show so glad I didn't miss much - that said, I did buy 2 pieces on a past show that I picked up today - also thought the recent Bechera vs. Saul show was pretty competitive. This LA Show exceeded my expectations as I found a couple pieces of art I hadn't seen before and that is all it takes really - the dealers brought quite a bit of fresh material. Also, I was able to see some folks I hadn't met before or seen in 18 months so was great fun overall - there was some great art in private portfolios as well. Nice meeting you Grapeape - your taste is quite impeccable! Mark
  9. Hello Boardies, Per the Title, I have a Invincible 1 CGC 9.8W for sale Attached are the pictures - if you blow them up it is quite unforgiving but when you have the book in hand it looks 'perfect', solid 9.8...that said, it does have some of that "newton" affect from the slab. Given the price I'm assuming the buyer can send a check (happy to take a 10% by paypal to hold the book) I have a kudos thread on the boards: https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/456090-mtlevy1-feedback-thread/?tab=comments#comment-10820445 On the price, there are some crazy eBay sales - I don't need to squeeze boardies for the highest price so if you have comps that say $3,795 is too high then let's chat but I don't anticipate selling for much less...please note my price is 'all in' shipped to your door. I will consider an undercopy at a similar market based price - also partial trade for quality books - or of course, comic art As always a BIN will trump any negotiations Thanks! Mark
  10. Those were both nice pages and fairly priced - I think the competition between Bechera and Saul did help them be more willing to close the gap - I would have bought that Severin but I already blew my budget for June...and the Ms. Marvel page sold for essentially same as HA price 2 years ago
  11. Have there been any strong Sandman pages on HA recently?
  12. Oops, it sailed by me...all good I hope - now I feel just a tad bad but for any new folk...
  13. Are you trying to put the entire story back together?
  14. Astonishing Tales 6 Ka-Zar with Barry Windsor-Smith pencils and Bill Everett inks is a 1971 ten page story I am working to complete - recently I was able to work a trade for page 8 so added both page 7 and page 8 to my gallery dedicated to this story. Here is the description I posted for page 8 - and the scan...head to my CAF ( http://cafurl.com?i=23828 ) to see the six pages posted to date...and please help me complete my quest - need page 3 and page 6! Here is page 8 - acquired in a trade with Jose in May 2021Thanks Jose for helping me get much closer (from 3 to 2) to completing this 10 page story - two pages to go. If you have one of these two remaining pages, I will trade in your favor - or cash! And fortunate that Bechera had a very nice BWS Conan page at a decent price so I could make the trade work promptly. There is a debate on...if you should let people know what you want? If you are willing to walk away from any extortion then I say let us all know - there are more good apples than bad in our hobby!
  15. HA.com absentee #2...1970s Rogers / Austin Detective - last one at HA.com, 2016
  16. I win a few items now and then and get the catalogs but....they don't send me the Platinum catalog
  17. Any thoughts on the Colan/Palmer DD91 page with a bit of DD and widow at over $6k?
  18. Birthday for Bill Here is a portrait by one of his collaborators, Marie Severin
  19. Still looking for 1970s Nova Pages - especially with Sphinx and more so the 4 remaining from number 11
  20. HA.com has a JIM 2X battle page, 121 at $19k and a non-action page from 126 @ $9k recently - would suggest your page is $20K+ as folks suggest...that said, HA.com has a large spread so you might be able to split that with the seller. Sounds like a nice find to me!
