  1. Ok, I'll play 86 new pieces (with only 4 over $5k) and 27 (only 3 over $5k) released to other collectors...I've been enjoying Bill's CAL events...wish more folk would participate more deeply Happy Hunting to All! P.S. Still need Astonishing Tales 6 Ka-zar page - and 1970s Nova 11
  2. Excellent communication and customer service - buy with 110% confidence!
  3. I've got a multi-function printer that has a 11 x 17 scanner bed - saves room - its old now but I like having the devices combined
  4. I was watching when the Vision & SW cover sold - was a bit of a shocker but perhaps the Disney Magic helped?
  5. Agree, I thought they brought a few decent vintage pages this time...
  6. I really enjoy CAL - last few times I bought and sold quite a few pieces - better than most live cons - and way easier to know what art is at the show! That said, I can certainly see why less experienced collectors may be safer at auctions for more expensive pieces - and as folks have said, the upcoming HA may have had some restraining effect. I do feel dealers should tell the most-crazy aggressive consignors "No thanks" - it hurts dealers' reputations and the hobby Happy Hunting!
  7. One of his last pages...from issue 61, the first 4 are Everett
  8. Pretty much always watch it as I bought a few pieces earlier in the series
  9. Thanks so much for the information - great when the boards build our community!
  10. Awesome set of strips If you are in touch with Mr. Jordan - can you ask him who might have helped him ink this one? Also, maybe folks have educated opinions? Mark P.S. Sorry for any kinked necks - it is landscape on my laptop...
  11. My McGinnis example - she is a bit more buxom than his typical female figure. He did a cover for a Stephen King book that I wish I had picked up at a SDCC a few years back - he was still knocking it out of the park!
  12. I believe he also has a lot of the Detective Rogers/Austin run Terry, if you read this, perhaps we can make a trade so I can have sequential pages?
  13. Hello All, If you see the attached page from 1971 Astonishing Tales issue 6, page 6 with Ka-zar, buy/trade for it, and then sell it to me for instant cash profit - or let the owner know I am here when they are ready to sell A finder's fee I will pay Thanks! Mark (marktlevy@yahoo.com) P.S. I also need any 1977 Nova 11 page
  14. Mystery Tales is an unusual case - one collector would be literally buy 'every' copy available so when he stopped buying there was an adjustment....for a while they were too expensive
  15. To date it was ponying up for the Sub-Mariner 57 Cover in 2006 - which wasn't easy as it was really expensive and my employer at the time was in a delicate situation That said, help me complete a tougher challenge and help me find an Astonishing Tales 6 Ka-Zar page or a 1970s Nova 11 page!
  16. Just win it and then you can decide... P.S. I had p13 with a nice bikini panel - traded it in 2006 towards a Kirby page...
  17. I have a DV 3 page picked up in a trade back in 2009 - it is attached to a white board as you describe which is a bit annoying. The collector I got it from did not know who had done this but looks like they were a dedicated DV collector - he suggested leaving it alone and I have done just that so far.
