  1. I thought the cover that belongs in my collection went strong - enough to keep it elsewhere...$90K with BP
  2. I've sold a few pieces this way....once every 3 years or so...made offers without success.
  3. Does anyone know which catalogs may be worth keeping - before they hit the recycle?
  4. Yep - June 25, 2009 is when you bought it from me (sniff) - with cash + trade (Wildcats) - I had bought it from a gentleman in the UK and had a weak moment to your benefit!
  5. I feel not so great about selling such a masterpiece lucky I got a little bit of Williams inked work back in trade
  6. They are legit - and I am Mark so if you want to send it my way, let me know!
  7. Dueling dealers is pretty successful - a lot of material that was available at CAL was nicer and relatively less expensive and no one bites but on DD, almost anything nice gets picked up if the price isn't silly. After buying a piece and seeing it had been sold on HA for quite a bit less not long before, I often check to see if a piece was a recent auction pickup - not that it really matters but psychologically it does.
  8. Someone posted an Everett fan letter response that had a nice signature...here is one from the original art - you can see it was an underwater page
  9. Nice smooth transaction - hope to do some more deals!
  10. I think his pen and ink work is quite exceptional!
  11. I noticed this on my last order - not sure what they are thinking but HA is much less expensive to buy from which feels a bit crazy - they will hold multiple orders and that cuts shipping to very fair
  12. Colbert paid tribute to Mr. Jaffee Tuesday PM - and was featured prominently in the papers - nice to see the respect.
  13. Remember Conrad from the days when the hobby was a bit more affordable, he had great art at multiple SDCCs wish I had purchased some! In late 2007, eventually did a very smooth deal through the phone/mail - an Everett Subby 53 (in my CAF) and a BWS/Brunner Dr Strange Page (not in my CAF) for cash Everett Sub-Mariner 53 with Sunfire End Page, in Mark Levy's 2. Scarce Teams - '72 Everett Sub-Mariner 50 - 57 Comic Art Gallery Room (comicartfans.com) The MP4 page isn't in my gallery so posting here...
  14. My 2 cents - pretty aligned with others I thought V page was on target...a quick story, I remember passing on a Ditko ASM 13 because it wasn't Spidey on the page but Mysterio as Spiderman - the V page may have suffered a bit as it wasn't V, but a dummy made by V (I think)...I know a bit peculiar but for me was one reason not to stretch for it. The Totleben MM is gorgeous - $20k seemed on target but I am not the best positioned to know The Sandman 1 felt very well bought - one of the best pages in a classic book for under $100k... Mark
  15. Buy with confidence - smooth transaction on FF66
  16. I took a spin through my tracked lots and saw more upsides than 'crack slips' This was perhaps the one I was the most off base on: Al Milgrom and Jim Mooney The Spectacular Spider-Man #75 Story Page | Lot #95337 | Heritage Auctions (ha.com) This is a pretty cool scene but > $30k... Mark
  17. Agree, not the tape - the 130 page didn't have tape, the 124 page did but masking tape can be replaced with acid-free for not much so not too relevant on an expensive page....
