  1. Let’s look at the flip side... what if someone offered you a C&H with a market value of $20K vs a Peanuts worth $100K?
  2. Basically, anything that is rumoured/has been optioned for a movie or TV show
  3. Seriously doubt it, but you are certainly entitled to your opinion.
  4. OMFG, who cares if Peanuts came first?!? Calvin and Hobbes IS the superior strip.
  5. 😂 not quite. More like the fella who made friends easily and organized ‘play dates’, and later, get-togethers playing sports or going to the arcade, movies or malls.
  6. Yes, it was an excellent childhood, fondly remembered, and far more relatable to Calvin and Hobbes (a far superior strip over Peanuts, imho) 😎
  7. Honestly, I don’t mean to sound like a broken record, but every time I read this sort of praise for Schultz’ Peanuts I have to do a double take, re-read the praise, and laugh my @$$ off! i have tried several times to ‘get’ Schultz, by reading and re-reading collections of his work and the more I tried, the more entrenched my opinions became: 1. The characters are not relatable to folks in my life and therefore, I am unable to relate to his characters so I do not find them endearing, although I understand most readers do 2. This has to be the most redundant strip in the history of comic strips. I mean, how many stories about the Kite eating tree, Great Pumpkin, Lucy’s psychiatric advice, Lucy pulling away the football, etc must a reader endure? 50 years? Well, perhaps the strip ran 50 years, but it was more like 10 years, rinse and repeat. 3. Because of points 1 and 2 above, the strip was boring and predictable 4. Because of points 1-3 above, I think this strip is ridiculously over-hyped your mileage may vary.
  8. + Ross Andru (ASM), Bob Brown (DD & others), Frank Brunner (Dr Strange & HTD), George Perez (Avengers), and others I’ve forgotten
  9. Me too. I usually do pretty well with my consignments @ HA’s summer auction, but this year I lost money overall. A few minor pieces (under $1K) did all right, but I took a 50% hit on items in the $1K-$4K range, and a 20% haircut on items $5K+
  10. Nick Cardy? Murphy Anderson? Gil Kane? John Romita Jr? D-i-c-k Giordano? Neal Adams? George Perez? Shelly Moldoff? Al Williamson?
  11. 1. I’ve spent the most on John Romita Jr art 2. Objectively, I think the most FMV is with my Keown collection
  12. Final Bump! These are all still wayyyyyy below FMV so a good buying opportunity for you!

  15. HI, all: It wasn't too long ago when we had a thread from some avid Team America fans seeking pages. Looking through the Heritage Summer Signature auction, I came across two Captain America #269 pages, featuring the 1st appearance of Team America (with Cap) here: Page 9: https://comics.ha.com/itm/original-comic-art/mike-zeck-and-joe-rubinstein-captain-america-269-page-9-original-art-marvel-1982-/a/7211-94368.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515 Page 27: https://comics.ha.com/itm/original-comic-art/mike-zeck-and-joe-rubinstein-captain-america-269-page-27-original-art-marvel-1982-/a/7211-94369.s?ic16=ViewItem-BrowseTabs-Auction-Open-SearchResults-120115&lotPosition=1|0 Good luck!
  16. Bidding has started. Release the hounds!
  17. Well, $400 was full retail for a copy with white pages, and since this copy has ow/w pages, you’re still pretty close to full retail. Not knocking the book...just saying.
  18. Also just noticed all of the musicians in your example are either dead or well into their 70’s...was this intentional?
  19. This is truly difficult to predict as Millennials and Gen Z’a don’t read. They play video games and watch you tube, Netflix, etc. If they show any interest in comic art, i think it would be based on TV and video games. by the way, I’m sure we’ve already noticed HA and Clink offering graded video games and Magic/Pokemon cards for sale in their comics and oa Auctions...
