  1. Now more expensive than the McSpidey #1 cover, but still a far cry from the ASM 328 cover
  2. In another thread, Mike said exactly this: I own all but a couple pages to asm 100... 1 of my favorite issues......I owned this asm #100 cover and I sold it around 2006...i tried to buy it back from the owner a few months ago privately. i offered him 250k GREEN..... FLOWN TO HIM BY ME and he passed on my offer... He said he feels it will sell for more....... (which means it will have to sell OVER 300k at auction for him to get more than my offer.........) we'll see if that happens. This cover is inked by Frank Giacoia and "NOT ROMITA".... I honestly feel this hurts the value some as all of the background characters look as if they are half drawn.....John Romita would have put a lot more effort into the inking had he inked this cover himself. Only the kingpin image is penciled and inked by John Romita and for me personally, it's easy to see how nice that image looks versus the rest of the background characters. MJ and Gwen look off some and not like fully detailed Romita images.....so in hindsight....after thinking it all over...... i'm glad he turned down my offer as i'll wait for a twice up goody in the future and we will all see if it sells for less than my offer.
  3. Nice page! Seen it around before, but you got lucky getting it below $10K
  4. If you're Jones piece is an A-Level example, then consider yourself fortunate
  5. A little of both. i don't think the ASM 100 can triple, but numerous other lots can, and will
  6. For me, personally, it has to be Miller detailed pencils on the boards, otherwise I have no interest whatsoever in paying Miller prices on a non-Miller page. would folks be as inclined to pay Kirby prices on an FF page that was actually light boxed by Ayers? Or Sinnott? I don't think so. and I'm not taking anything away from Janson... he was a great inker and decent penciler back in the day.
  7. Question for those knowledgeable in matters pertaining to Miller DD...currently, the DD 190 splash is already at $10.5K on Clink, but how much of the art on this page is actually Miller? I mean, I'm interested, but only if Millers blood, sweat, and Tears went into this page. i recall a thread about this circulated a year or two ago, but am unable to find it.
  8. Very true. I'm watching over 300 lots and there's so many of them that need to triple and quadruple their current bid amounts just to hit FMV. I realize it's still early in the week, but there's only three days (including today) before live bidding on Friday
  9. Ah yes, I missed The Ronin pages being lumped in with DD and others. Thanks for pointing that out. A- level McHulk pages are definitely above the $3K-$5K mark and need to be bumped up a rung.
  10. Byrne MTU pages should definitely move up a rung. Perez Infinity Guantlet pages should probably move up two rungs. McFarlane Hulk needs to move up a rung. Jones Sandman needs to move up a rung as does Bachalo Death. miller Ronin should be added to the $10K-$20K rung. Question: are Byrne X-Men still in the $30K-$40K rung? I thought they've softened?
  11. Thanks for pointing that out...just an amazing price to see so early in the auction.
  12. Thanks for the update! I was going to include the cover part 2 of the auction offerings but you beat me to it. Yeah, $6.9K, with some room to go...only thing that prevents me from bidding is all of the glue residue on the cover, otherwise its very, very tempting
  13. HI, all: I've got a nice selection of Secret Agent Corrigan original strip art for sale at the upcoming Heritage Signature auction. 14. Howdy, folks! I've got three great splashes for sale at the Heritage Signature auction, ending Feb 24th. Each splash is currently is illustrated by Mark Bagley, and ridiculously cheap at less than $100, so this may be a great opportunity to pick up some cool splashes at very affordable prices. First up is the Hulk #15p14 Full Page splash featuring the Hulk in full-out rage mode, beating up on Red Hulk. Current bid = $55: https://comics.ha.com/itm/original-comic-art/mark-bagley-and-andrew-hennessy-hulk-15-splash-page-14-original-art-marvel-2015-/a/7177-93410.s?ic3=ViewItem-Auction-Open-SearchResults-120115&lotPosition=1|0 Next is the splash from Ultimate End #2 Full Page Splash Page 14 with the Hulk breaking into prison. Weird right? How many folks actually break into prison? Current bid = $48. 15. There's two really nice Keown splashes.. the one I used to own from Incredible Hulk 373, with its witty banter, and you just know that Doc Samson is gonna be in a world of pain when the Hulk smashes that tank on his head. Poor Lenny can never catch a break... or a tank! ? https://comics.ha.com/itm/original-comic-art/dale-keown-and-sam-de-la-rosa-incredible-hulk-373-story-page-14-original-art-marvel-1990-/a/7177-92125.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515 the second splash is more recent and features the Hulk and Wolverine from the Avengers + Xmen series. I'm a fan of Dale's newer style (well, not so new any more because it's been around 15 years since Hulk:the End introduced this style) and this is a killer splash featuring Hulk and Wolvie so I'll definitely be watching this one. Here's the link: https://comics.ha.com/itm/original-comic-art/splash-pages/dale-keown-a-x-1-splash-page-8-hulk-and-wolverine-original-art-marvel-2012-/a/7177-92126.s?ic3=ViewItem-Auction-Open-ThisAuction-120115
  16. Nope... prices have been on a steady increase over the past year and it was only recently that a keown Hulk panel page broke the $2K mark, publicly.
  17. Shhhhh! Don't tell anybody, but the Batman Hush cover is already at $36K ?
  18. Just basing it on the last Manthing cover that sold on HA for around $18K, though I think that one was a Brunner cover? What do you think this Ploog cover will fetch?
  19. So, a bit off topic from the HA Sig auction, but at the HA Sunday Feb 11th auction, someone paid $2,868 for a panel page (yes, numerous panels) from Hulk 391 by Keown to the best of my knowledge, this is the highest public sale price for a Keown panel page, and makes me wish I hadn't sold all of my panel pages.
  20. Reserves have been revealed. Adams Avengers page = $7K Fraz painting = $300K Stevens Vampi = NO reserve!
  21. OK, not officially sanctioned by Clink, but I'm sure they don't mind the chatter here about their Winter Featured auction contents. I think there's less total pages being offered this time around, as compared to their previous featured auction, but still a very nice selection of stuff: Art Adams does the FF (with Simonson writing). OK, not your normal FF guys, but Spidey, Wolverine, Hulk, and Ghost Rider. Lots of Spidey on this page and monsters! Who doesn't like Giant monsters drawn by Adams? fun, fun, fun! http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FALLSUB.ASP%3FFocused%3D1%26id%3D1398%23Item_1231402&id=1231402&itemType=1 John Buscema Savage Sword of Conan #17splash. Just. wow. Not your standard Buscema splash. Take a look and say "wow" in unison with me: http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FALLSUB.ASP%3FFocused%3D1%26id%3D1398%23Item_1230276&id=1230276&itemType=1 Byrne X-Men 142 page featuring pretty much the entire team + Mystique in this Days of Future Past storyline page. This is the page where she starts to pique Nightcrawler's curiosity about how similar they look, and possibly, her knowledge of his mother? http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FALLSUB.ASP%3FFocused%3D1%26id%3D1398%26pg%3D2%23Item_1234621&id=1234621&itemType=1 Chaykin Pizzazz #1p3.
