  1. I was going by what he said: 1. They were Spidey complete stories so that eliminates the Wolverine reference, Chris 2. They were “much better”, which is in the eye of the beholder, but still, the two complete issues from 2012 are the ones I believe he is referencing
  2. Hiya, Mike; Ahem, for starters, when you say “a few years back...”, you actually meant 2012, which is 6 years back. secondly, you paid $7.2K and 10.8K respectively, for those complete issues that you purchased from HA.
  3. Still some very nice artwork for sale on Saturday so we’ll see if the overall bullish prices of yesterday and today press forward.
  4. Looks as though at least two people really like the Keown Hulk splash!
  5. I think the Bagley ASM cover was a bit light, and same can be said for the Ross Marvels splash, but overall, quite strong results
  6. So, the auction starts at 1:00 PM Eastern today?
  7. Well, if that were true, then there are some ASM covers on Clink marketplace which you would consider to be bargains
  8. Hmm...not sure if the description regarding condition/conservation has held back some bids, but just in case, here's what HA noted: "Spider-Man's head in the main image area is an original art paste-up, as are the upper portions of the ropes. The corner box, logo, and cover text are all stat paste-ups. The toned board has production oil stains on the reverse side, but not on the front. Corner crease at upper left. Pinholes. The art has been professionally conserved."

  10. ASM will always have a following so I would go with that. mr miracle? Big barda? How many people know or care about them?
  11. If anyone knows the asking price on the ASM 299 cover, please pm me ??
  12. Hiya, Scott: why are you considering the change?
  13. I was at a local one day show and saw about 15 copies of this book, some slabbed while others were raw. The dealers were asking aggressive prices ie raw NM- for $375 and when it came down to negotiating, well, they weren’t having any of it,claiming the book was really hot and they will sell it in no time. by the end of the show, I bought two slabbed copies, but the remaining copies were still unsold. Attendance was very strong and, and there was a lot of money in the room so I’m just wondering if this book is actually hot or just hyped?
  14. You can have the Infantino Spiderwoman or the Sienk Moon Knight cover, both currently at $17K
  15. So, part two of some interesting pieces, with about a week to go before live bidding for the Thurs and Fri auction lots. Current bids in red font for ease of reference. Very little movement here compared to the previous watched lots, but still a lot of room for bids to go up. If not, then some folks will be getting some sweet deals!
  16. So platinum night auctions end a week today, with the others closing Friday and Saturday May 11 & 12, respectively, and I thought it would be fun to see how the bidding has progressed on the lots noted above from my April 21st post. The bids in black are as at April 21; current bid amount in red font for ease of reference. Looks like its still too early for most major moves, but the Infantino Spider-Woman cover took a healthy leap, as did the Kieth MCP cover and same can be said for the Sienkiewicz Moon Knight cover. By the way, anyone think the Sienk cover will crack $25K? Percentage-wise, the Maneely Kid Colt cover doubled, and the Mark Bright Spidey vs Wolvie splash has quadrupled from its slow start. \ Based on previous sales, this Miller Wolvie splash still has quite a bit of room to move upwards. Curious to see if it will hit $15K this time around.
  17. Pencil only vs inks over blueline or digital only? No thanks, I’ll pass.
  18. So exactly who is the known entity in this picture with Joe? I haven’t met him and would like to know who he is, and I’m certain that others reading this thread would like to know, too.
