  1. No worries. Just surprised at how few 9.9’s have been graded (likewise the 248), considering how well these books were stored and the number of copies slabbed
  2. Looks like we’ve settled on 963 OA lots for this auction. With so much goodness, I’ve whittled down my ‘must have’ list to 27 pieces.
  3. The price for the Xmen 137 actually seems soft, considering one sold back in 2017 for $3.1K
  4. Not familiar with this piece…what makes it ‘iconic’ ?
  5. In a ‘where’s Waldo’ kind of way, I enjoyed trying to find the hidden spider(s) on his ASM and Adjectiveless Spiderman titles, along with finding Felix the Cat images or references on interior panels. he certainly made it more fun to pick up a copy or two of his Spidey books 👍🏻
  6. And yet many dealers do it all of the time, even books priced at $50+.
  7. With limited time at large shows, you need to prioritize your time and prepare a plan to hit the key dealers, artists, Signature opportunities and panels to make the most of the show. having said that, I wouldn’t spend time on $4 boxes, but I would consider looking through some $20 boxes
  8. She Hulk still has the potential to join the MCU in multiple movies given the extent of her team involvement in Marvel Comics. Think about her in an FF movie or Avengers (even Avengers West Coast) or dare to dream…in a Hulk movie! I think the upside for She Hulk far exceeds that for Nova
  9. Yup, lots of books came from the Dell warehouse find!
  10. This is gonna be awesome! hope you can get Stern, Pollard, Frenz, Sal Buscema, and Bagley!
  11. A few dozen lots added recently. We're now up to 857 OA lots, and I see some more additions pending in the miscellaneous section. So many wonderful pieces from all eras will be represented in this auction! My wallet is going to be in a lot of pain (if I'm lucky)
  12. For those that mentioned Lois Lane, didn’t she (temporarily) obtain Superpowrs? Likewise, Jimmy Olsen?
  13. Captain 3-D (Kirby & Ditko, I think) Dell Giant #48 Bigger and Boulder (1st app The Flintstones in comics) Additionally, there was a Charlton horror titles from the 1950s with a Ditko cover + at least one interior story that had a warehouse find. I don't recall the title any longer
  14. It’s not necessarily a question of being too cheap. I own a business and it’s been challenging finding qualified applicants, even at higher rates. likewise, my wife owns an accounting practice and they have never been as short staffed, albeit while offering 20% higher salary than pre-Covid.
  15. I was also thinking that a lot of folks withheld lots from Fall and Winter auctions as results may be perceived lower than other times during the year
  16. Not sure if there’s any more OA in queue for this auction, but we’ve surpassed 800 lots thus far and it’s been a while since so many lots were offered. I’m certain the sales results from the Secret Wars pages has something to do with the increased offerings, but we’ve moved from 4 Signature auctions to 5 per year so I was expecting the volumes to be somewhere in the 550-600 range. Mind you, I’m not complaining because it’s just so incredible to see so many fantastic pieces available at once.
  17. What counter point are you making? You are so against the current valuation of this book to the point of being rabid. you’ve beaten the dead horse 10 times over and now you’re grasping at straws to show a slowdown in sales for this books. Nobody on this thread has gone to the extreme lengths that you have in order to sway, cajole or bore people to death about your views about this book.
  18. What I don’t understand is why you are trying to use every potential related and unrelated bit of info to cheer for a price decline in this book?
  19. So that article points to the drop in copies sold, not price drop. perhaps asm 194 made the list because less copies were available during that particular week?
