  1. Somewhere in the "spaghetti" is a good movie but there is so much about this film I didn't like. Barry's room mate has a tattoo of Eric Stoltz on his leg... is that in the movie because it is supposed to be funny for 5 seconds? Jon Peter's giant spider finally made it to the big screen.
  2. enjoyed S2E1 with the exception of Carol Kane. She was too "over the top" for my taste and while they hinted that she might stay I am hoping she does not as she was an awful character.
  3. My ask is easy: if you won't sell to any other country including Canada then just put "US" in your thread title
  4. I think 7.0 is correct. That is a pretty big crease on the back, I also see some dirt that could have been cleaned first.
  5. manufacturing defect or not I wouldn't want a CGC 9.6 copy of a book with this. Trust your gut, you felt the need to post on the boards regarding it, that says you don't like it. Suggest looking for another copy.
  6. If the price is right then consider buying, otherwise there are likely superior CGC 9.4's. What does the rest of the book look like?
  7. Thank you for the link, I appreciate it, but it doesn't answer if they would grade the collectible because while it is magazine size it isn't a magazine. Hi @CGC Mike, anyway you could help me find out?
  8. Hi, I have a book from 1981, a promotional booklet from Leaf and DC comics. The interior is 8 miniature comics you obtained from Candy packs. My question is if CGC would grade this? It is the size of a magazine and would fit in a magazine holder. I couldn't find any information for graded examples of this book, and I want to know if the information on the label (if they do grade this ) would indicate that the interior is complete?
  9. interesting story. One comment: further proof that Marvel has never worked to integrate the comics with TV/big screen properties. They have a character called Ms. Marvel appearing in a big screen feature later this year but in the comics she is dead. Now this Punisher thing, when he is to appear in the Daredevil TV show coming out. Makes no sense at all to me and is a huge missed opportunity. They could have end credit scenes that say : read the next issue of the comics to see what happens next!
  10. I love this signed copy of Detective 880 I have. Jock's signature in the same color as the Joker's lips looks like smeared lipstick.
  11. Hi all, I have one Golden Age book looking for a new home, a Planet Comics #2 CGC 3.0 restored. Purchased the book raw from a CGC board member in 2014. I sent it to joeypost then to CGC for encapsulation in 2021. Rules: First take it in the thread gets it. Offers encouraged. Payment: check, MO, PayPal. Shipping: I will ship internationally (ask me for a quote ). It will go insured, tracking w/ signature required. Returns: No returns No one on the HOS or PL please. The color touch it has is on the spine around the top staple, and again on the bottom staple. Feel free to ask any questions. be advised I am in Canada. SOLD!
  12. what book? Unless it is a very rare book my answer is to buy a book that doesn't have the glue.
  13. Love this thread. My favorite Hughes is the Supergirl and the Legion of Superheroes 23. I have collected several Hughes covers but that one will be the last i sell
  14. There are lots like him. I personally do not like the practice of removing pieces of a book to get the blue label. Check out the butchery on this book by a local comic store: CGC please help to stop this practice.
  15. not all books have notes ( though it is my opinion they should )
  16. Agreed. I watched @thehumantorch crack out a CGC purple label Fantastic Four 45 at a comic show we were set up at because the potential buyer didn't want a slabbed copy. The graders notes stated “small amount of colour touch”. Once cracked we inspected it and the color touch was all over the place. The entire spine was heavily touched as were several spots in the central mass and the top and bottom edges. This is an area where CGC needs to improve the descriptions.
  17. I have seen pencilled pages, but nothing finished.
  18. I am considering making a bound edition of the Last Galactus story from the Epic Illustrated magazine. The hold up is I can't seem to locate the pages of the end of the story.
  19. I thought she was great in the last film as Croft, but the movie was average.
  20. to my knowledge the only reprint of Black Panther #1 is the "True Believers" version.
