  1. Sorry for your loss, and welcome to the boards. First, I am not sure what you are asking help about? Are you planning to sell them? Are you keeping them?
  2. I have a Ademco 21" x 25" press. It worked very well when I could use it, currently does not power up, not sure why. Pro: The size of it is a feature I like, can press larger books, multiple books. The wheel is another feature, can vary the amount of pressure easily. Con: Monstrously heavy **not sure why the picture is rotated. I can't seem to fix it either.
  3. 12 is a great cover! I love the bad guy alien that has a face on the front and back of his head. Here is mine:
  4. I would be absolutely thrilled to get a 9.6 from that book.
  5. While I have never done this, I know someone that has. They opened a comic store, and took on an investor to assist in the purchasing of inventory ( comic collections ) that will be sold at the store and through online channels. Seemed to work fine at first, but now that the investor is owed a significant amount of money the investor is constantly in the store and making strong suggestions as to what merchandise is to be displayed on the walls of the store. The investor has several of their own books on the wall to sell now, and the owner of the store is rather unhappy about feeling in the position to have to display those books simply because they owe money to the investor.
  6. my contribution to "indigo goodness". Alsso to keep the Planet thread on page 1...
  7. I think it is awesome that you still have it! Absolutely "thrilled" to have my copy.
  8. Agreed is high. I am with Retro on the $175 pricing but in light of how the prices are going up on golden age books I could see a seller putting $300 on it. It is a number 1 after all, and you don't see it all that often.
  9. a similar copy sold on Heritage last year for $262.00 USD https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/crime/exposed-1-ds-publishing-1948-condition-fn-/a/121626-14295.s?ic3=ViewItem-Auction-Archive-PreviousPricesHeritage-081514
  10. it depends entirely on the specific book we are discussing. An 8.0 ASM 129 traded at 30% less than FMV and then you pay fmv for the 9.0 129 I say I would do it.
  11. I have had success at $5 each. There will always be some that don't sell, after a couple of $5 each shows, change the price to $2 each, then $1 each, then 0.50c each and so on until they become land fill.
  12. with morbid curiousity I am now on the hunt to find said book so we can all see what shedding your load is all about!
