  1. my contribution to "indigo goodness". Alsso to keep the Planet thread on page 1...
  2. I think it is awesome that you still have it! Absolutely "thrilled" to have my copy.
  3. Agreed is high. I am with Retro on the $175 pricing but in light of how the prices are going up on golden age books I could see a seller putting $300 on it. It is a number 1 after all, and you don't see it all that often.
  4. a similar copy sold on Heritage last year for $262.00 USD https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/crime/exposed-1-ds-publishing-1948-condition-fn-/a/121626-14295.s?ic3=ViewItem-Auction-Archive-PreviousPricesHeritage-081514
  5. it depends entirely on the specific book we are discussing. An 8.0 ASM 129 traded at 30% less than FMV and then you pay fmv for the 9.0 129 I say I would do it.
  6. I have had success at $5 each. There will always be some that don't sell, after a couple of $5 each shows, change the price to $2 each, then $1 each, then 0.50c each and so on until they become land fill.
  7. with morbid curiousity I am now on the hunt to find said book so we can all see what shedding your load is all about!
  8. Thanks Vern! I while I love the colors I wish it was a higher structural grade as well. Don't like the dust shadow and the missing chips out of the cover. Oh well, it is a keeper.
  9. I agree. there is some reason for it that has not been made public. My guess is it is likely regarding money or some scheduling conflict or something like that which will prohibit Zendaya from continuing the role.
  10. Your opinion but that is perfectly ok by me. Ned Leeds doesn't have to be a goofy chubby Asian guy to appeal to a younger audience. Flash Thompson could very easily have still been the jock bully and appealed to a younger audience who would have identified with that as bullying exists in schools today in various forms. The race of the characters was changed to ensure all demographics are included. "MJ" was supposed to be Mary Jane Watson, and no amount of Feige back peddling after the release of the movie will change my opinion on that.
  11. very smart and have adapted to paying customers. Online back issues opens that inventory to a broader client range finding more of those "completest" collectors. The rest of the store is designed for retail buying.
  12. I think the asking price is ridiculous. Other than 10-15 books the rest of the collection isn't an easy sell.
  13. Change for the sake of change. Ned Leeds has the same name but he is an over weight Asian guy ( can't wait to see him dressed as the Hobgoblin - not! ) Flash Thompson has the same name but instead of being an athletic bully he is a wealthy bully. Aunt May is the same name but is now a hot milf instead of a frail old lady. I surmise it is simply change for the sake of change and done so they could do the very prominent reveal at the ending of the film where she says "call me M.J."
  14. Yes my copy is a strong blue color, the reds are strong as well as in the color of her shoes.
