  1. Alright! So you'll be putting the census into the 2 digit stratosphere and bumping my new acquisition from the number 3 spot to the number 4. Just messin. Can't wait to see it. I hope it comes back with a nice grade. This particular book, so few graded but I'm sure there are lots of ungraded copies out there. To me it's not as much the grade but the colors that are the priority.
  2. Nice Cornelius. I hope one day to join that club as well. I've heard good things about it. So I grabbed this last night. Seems there were two other serious bids under mine. I have a feeling they may be from fellow boardies. Not gloating, just wondering. Colors look pretty good in the scan https://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FPREVIEW.ASP%3Fcode%3D2023aug%26pg%3D11%23Item_1707749&id=1707749&itemType=0

  5. Yep, it ain't cheap for a nice looking copy, still pennies compared to S3. And yeah, they do murder her. I guess you've read it? The bad guys win in that one if I recall correctly.
  6. Yeah according to Franks son Ahmet Jack was always over the house. Look up Zappa Jack Kirby. Lots of google hits.
  7. I'm gonna check that out. So he still has those books it seems? I hope yes. The temptation to sell must be just nuts.
  8. Hey Bird, Long time. Didn't you used to have a pic of Zappa in you avatar? I was thinking the same. Probably Mumy's house or at least his books. By the way FZ and Jack were close friends. Jack would visit Franks home often when he lived in California.
  9. Suspense 5 also in my opinion. Or as the kids say IMO. Nice Tomato Red cover. Jersey Tomato Red (yes we have the best tomatoes, ain't called the Garden State for nothing.) . Other than a few 7.0's that have sold the past few years you just don't see any mid grade copies available too often.
  10. I consider ShockSuspenStories 6 the poor man's Suspense 3. Because of the covers.
  11. Love this stuff. I saw a picture once of Billy (Bill) Mumy, the actor, with some pretty good stuff. Found it. Well no Action or Sup 1's but maybe he had them as well. Probably got these cheap back in his Lost in Space days. Pic is from 1979 I believe.
  12. Alright. Little sad to see it go as it's a pretty cool book. Dynamic 1 Sold If anyone is reading this I can go 750 shipped to US on the Fight Comics 17 if payment is by check or money order.
  13. I just lowered the prices to what I believe are pretty good deals.
  14. I wish they would make them so they come off easier, like just peel off in one shot. I think they are now easier to remove than they used to be. If it works than that sounds good. I think I've tried it at least once. But I'm serious about the magic of olive oil. I get most of the paper off and the olive oil takes the glue residue right off. In Rome they used rub it all over their bodies than scrape it off with a special tool. Clean as a whistle those Romans.
  15. I concur. A 5.0 Mask 2 went for I believe 17k on CC a few months ago. A 5.5 for 23k is a move upwards. Not huge move but still a move.
  16. Hi jeffery. I tried it once and it left a rainbow like stain on the slab. I once bought a cbcs slab that looked melted in the spot where the sticker was. A guy on the board told me it was his and he did it using goo gone. It's strong suff but if you've had no problems with it no reason to stop using it I guess.
  17. The only book I still have from my original collection (circa 1988 - 2002) . They're all gone sir. ......except this one now in a shiny new holder. I had thousands of raw books by 2002, this is the sole survivor.
