Superboy 68 with Missing Page PayPal Claim Denied
Professor K replied to pjray55's topic in Comics General
I just got a paypal decision against me as a seller for a FF 11. Reason given: They "just didnt like it'. Book was won Aug 12th and I still haven't received it back and paypal keeps giving them extensions to return it. Now they have until Oct 30th because "They are on vacation", Obvious scammers. My point: paypal does what they want with no apparent protocol and it always seems to go against the person who is in the right. -

Thanks for all the really good answers and insights. You guys are pretty good. You know your stuff. When it comes down to it I suppose I'll grab whichever one comes along first, but especially the HOS considering its rarer especially in upper mid grade and higher.

Hi Everybody, Straight up question: Better investment- House of Secrets 92 CGC 8.0 or Amazing Spider-Man 129 9.0? Both are selling for around 2K these days (HOS 92 a little more). The reason I ask is because I have a HOS 92 6.5 White which I want to upgrade to an 8.0 and a ASM 129 9.2 OW/White which I actually would like to downgrade to a 9.0 White (to match my other Bronze Keys which are almost all White Pages). If a nice HOS 92 8.0 comes around I was thinking about selling my ASM 129 after I buy it, basically a trade off. Then waiting for the right 129 White to come around. Any thoughts on which one might appreciate more in the next year or so? Thanks

Advice on selling first high value comic on eBay
Professor K replied to Bluefear's topic in Newbie Comic Collecting Questions
Signature Confirmation is huge. Also, its much less risky to sell a slabbed comic than raw on ebay. I'm actually in the process of trying to be scammed out of 305.00 for a raw comic right now. All I can do is wait now. I also recommend using one bank account only for ebay/paypal just in case they let a scammer scam you. This way you can just shut it down and keep your money. -

What's new in your Silver Age collection this week
Professor K replied to Silver's topic in Silver Age Comic Books
I recently finally submitted my FF 4 and 5. I was happy with the grades and page quality. So happy that I went and finally crossed this JIM 85 off my list. I wouldnt mind downgraded the FF 5 to a well centered 4.0 however. -

Hi, I have certain comics on my want list which I have saved in my favorites, for ebay. Newly listed 1st. I check them almost every day. Brave and the Bold 85 ( New style Green Arrow by Mr. Adams) seems to be very tough to find in anything above 7.5. A few years now and I don't recall seeing an 8.0 or better. 1969 comic. 154 Universal graded isnt very many but still this one is a challenge. I'm just trying to find an 8.5 or 9.0. Wonder why so few come around.

Storing Slabbed Comics?
Professor K replied to theCapraAegagrus's topic in Newbie Comic Collecting Questions
Hi. This topic has got me thinking now, and a little worried. When I get a CGC comic I wipe it with a super soft cloth I have. Then I scan it in my over sized scanner. Then I put it in a 1.6 mm re-sealable mylar. I store my CGC's in heavy CGC boxes designed for their comics. They even say CGC on them. But they are upright in the box. Is that actually not good? Can gravity actually hurt the comic even though it is inside the inner plastic inside the slab?
