  1. The black covers are a "Error Priint" and was corrected when noticed on the press.. Any black error covers that were sent out were recalled to the shop owners. That being said yes they are rarer then the Greg Land variants 1:25 that had a run of 400.. So these I would assume are way lower then the Greg Lamd 1:25 cover. Anyone who says there the same as the purple first print is dead wrong. They fetch a higher premium. Only reason why CGC doesn't recognise it as a black error one is because there is no number count on how many actually made it to the shelves.. But they are indeed extremely hard to find.
  2. Hi Gadzukes I'm interested in the AF 15 shoot me a pm.. Thanks 😀👍
  3. Mama Mia that's one spicy price https://media.giphy.com/media/oubM1tKqnLW5G/giphy.
  4. Book looks and presents like a 5.0.. I love books like this when it presents better then the grade.
  5. Tech 359 a great book but only started making big big moves when a movie announced was told and the same with HOS 92 with Justice league dark. Even still these 2 books are timeless classics movie or not and a great way to park ur $$ into
  6. Correct Hulk 181 has been making great % since its major climbing ever since 2013 or so when a VF/Nm was getting 1500 so a 9.0 roughly which in 4yrs a 2k gain "Incredible".. Every grade from 2.0 to 9.6-with exception to a 9.8s all grades have been climbing at a healthy rate. AF 15s isn't the only big kid that's moving if you research a little majority of great top key silver age issues are climbing. No not at a AF 15 pace but still good enough to say don't just look at AF 15 as a heavy profit book there's lots of other goodies in the candy shop that's still delicious ??
  7. Go with your gut feeling on a book and u can't go wrong ??
  8. FF #5 def a book that is still undervalued in some ways. Always a good buy
  9. Other then AF 15 increasing in prices so would these and many more.. Amazing SPIDER-MAN 14 in all grades, to Anazing SPIDER-MAN #50 in majority of grades ( a classic Romita) to Fantastic Four #4 which is heating up now big time ( very hard to find in higher grade over 6.0)
  10. New name? No iv had this name a while when the forum got switched over to its new look
  11. Your really funny for a old man.. 12 nice one
  12. First off Vintage Comics wanted to throw a insult to me.. I can throw one back for his immature behaviour.
  13. First off Vintage Comics I'm alittle older and wiser then what you perceive me to be because you surely sound not that well educated in comics from what I'm observing. And by the way I have been collecting comics since the early 80s. And as far as my experience with comics is concerned with my crystal ball? I won't add insult to injury on your part let's just say. ? By the way my hindsight with my ball has more knowledge then you could possibly fathom. Stop being so pessimistic on things and except things for what they are. Food for thought. if I wanted a intelligent conversation I would rather have one with my dog. Peace VC
  14. @Vintage comics.. I agree "top" characters can change over time but you're not understanding one thing. Spiderman has been top character with fans and children for as long as the early 60s. That makes it what over 50+ yrs now.. He's not going anywhere out of the top list anytime now or in the near future. Fact
  15. First off you were talking about SA books and prices not Golden age books.. You're bouncing around from SA to Goden age which is it? . First off Overstreet 22 is a dinosaur when it comes to guide pricing and your talking past tense.. No silver age book has ever valued more then 1.1 million not Showcase 4 nor FF #1 or Marvel comics #1 to a Rick and Morty #1..
  16. AF 15 is the most expensive silver age comic of all time.. If it's the 3rd most expensive SA comic then what's the first Silver age that trumps it? I think u made a typo ?
  17. That is true but your forgetting the biggest rule of thumb.. Superman,Batman,Spiderman are the top 3 characters of our century. And those at best will stay strong just as Coke as remained top cola for over 100yrs
  18. Not as bad as ur looking through Marvel comics #1 ?
  19. Yes years ago AF 15 "WAS" a big book and will always be be huge book past present and future and for collectors no matter what age they are. As the book skyrockets your forgetting a major factor, collectors do have huge wallets. Why are people paying over 14k today for a 2.5 AF 15 when they could have payed 3k in 2011??? Well it's because there's a a lot of deep pocket collectors in this world more so then anyone is admitting to recognise. All I'm hearing is "who's going to pay 40-50k for a AF 15 2.0 say 10yrs down the road"... Well why is someone paying 3.1 million for a Action 1 9.0 Cgc copy in 2015. It's because someone can. You can't judge your own financial position to someone else's who is willing to spend big money on AF 15 or a whatever book they want, its irrelevant when some people have major money to spend.. Is there a ceiling to comics? No,,,,because if that's the case then no one would be buying big key books thinking one day it's gonna stagnate or plummet or worse not sell because someome is predicting the prices will be too high for some collector that won't have the funds to spend for there book..
  20. All star 8 is already out of reach for 90% of the collecting world.. That boats is sailing away pretty fast and in the next few yrs forget it.. Now to Vintage Comics, no a crash like I said for a AF 15 is souly not likely to happen.. Your comparing books that are not even in the same league as far as desirability like Spiderman's first appearance next to a Whiz comics #1??? I don't know bout you but I don't see many children or cosplay people dressing up in a Shazam outfit or Red Raven.. Desirability is one thing but we'r talking about Spiderman here. The one character all of us at one time in our lives as kids bought a spidy comic book because he was just so cool.. So to answer your response you couldn't be more further from the truth as long as Spiderman is here he will always be popular with the masses and prices will always drive up because he's the most beloved character of all time.. Since 1938 prices of comics like I said before has never!!! had a recession nor stopped gaining in prices when you talk about golden/silver/bronze books...
