  1. Pretty simple post your favorite image from your favorite artist. There can be no ties.. there is ONLY ONE favorite image, so just post ONE image. My favorite artist is John Byrne, of all his art, this Wolverine vs Sauron image is my favorite.
  2. That's an added feature that Anthony paid for, not a bug ; )
  3. My OCD kicks in when I see a good price on a book I own, but have the compulsion to buy it anyway, because I really like THAT book and it's only $1 or $5 or $10. This would be reasonable if I intended to sell it later, but I NEVER sell. USUALLY I put it in my buy stack and before I check out I sort through and it gets weeded out to be put back...but being a collector that is not ALWAYS the case. Alpha Flight #1 and reader copies of Dark Knight come to mind as I type. "Hi, my name is Steve and I'm a collector, it's been 7 days since I bought a comic that I already own." "Hi Steve."
  4. Neal Adams. I think Neal Adams was the art father of many great artists, the most important to me being John Byrne.
  5. Ankur, thanks for the pictures it's nice to see all that great art gathered in one room.
  6. I guess it would be more like a month and a half before instead of two months... darn math! The point would be to get them as close to the halfway point between the HA auctions as possible.
  7. Maybe ComicLink should consider moving their Featured Auctions to be 2 months before Heritage's quarterly auctions. This way the major auctions would be more evenly spaced giving collectors time to replenish their war chests.
  8. Is there a way for me to exclude a specific dealer's website during a search?
  9. Greenlake, I want you buying anything I sell... but you have to tell me what it's worth BEFORE I sell it to you ; )
  10. This art site should do the trick: https://www.dickblick.com/
  11. There are several collector/dealers that set up there in addition to the regular big name dealers. I would go just to look at the art if nothing else. You'll see about 1/3 more art than dealers post online and a the price range is nice.. some smaller budget friendly pieces are scattered in with the high dollar ones. I've seen coin flipping for art discounts (see Felix's Scott Dunbier's interview - it was the inspiration). And you get to meet so many of the hobby's personalities who are as excited about the art as you, what's not to love?!?. I've been wanting to go back the moment I left. Oh yeah.... there was about an hour left in the show when I was asking about a collector and someone said "he's set up selling art in the other room." "THE OTHER ROOM... Where's that?!?" Sure enough there were about 8 more guys set up in a room around the corner from the main room!
  12. OK I knew I was doing something wrong these are under the misc category and they are not yet searchable: https://comics.ha.com/c/search-results.zx?Ns=Item+Title|0&Ne=1058&N=52+792+4294943616+1070&ic4=Refine-ComicCategory-102615
  13. Odd, I don't see any of those pieces in the Nov auction (Adams' Batman, Kirby's Silver Surfer, Bolland's Killing Joke) I checked via my computer and mobile.... Could someone post a link?
  14. It's been a while, anything stand out on the list that needs adjusting (upward or downward)?
  15. I agree, when a obvious fake is brought to the group, we should report it, but only if YOU believe it’s a fake.... I just reported it. If eBay won’t police its products, then its on us to protect this hobby.
  16. Robert Dennis did a great job removing watercolor from a slash (not mine) BUT he said in the description that it was VERY labor intensive! Here’s the page: https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1286176
  17. Gotta love podcast drop day! Listened to it twice already, another great one. From these podcasts, it seems that there are a lot of good guys in the hobby, thanks to Felix for introducing us to them. On that note, this weekend I went down to Fan Expo in Dallas to see my art hero John Byrne. While there I had to the opportunity to chat for quite a while with Albert Moy and to a lesser extent Scott Williams (because of his long lines), both were supper nice and they shared a few fun stories. Add them to Gene Park and Dan Pottick (brief conversations at Comic Art Con NJ 2 years back, brief because of there was SO much art to see) and I have to say all were a treat to talk with and wouldn't have met any of them if it wasn't for Felix... thanks!
  18. That's what I was looking for... THANKS!
  19. Slight drift here... can someone point me to the comic art values thread, where pecking order of art values are roughly stated. I tried to search for it and couldn't find it.
  20. You know, seeing your Kirby Thor page inked by Everett makes me want to see more art from that team, what a nice pairing!
  21. Mike, thanks for sharing your killer collection with the Society of Illustrators, I really enjoyed the youtube video as well. I couldn't get to see the exhibition during my last trip to NYC... you must talk them into extending their hours ; )
  22. Nice one! I've jotted down their favorite artists to collect, now I'm off to the ol' Google search to see what all the fuss is about!
  23. Wasn't the rumor at the time that the X-Men 137 DPS was purchased for a possible Stan Lee Museum? There are 16, mostly vintage, Byrne pieces on the block. That is the most prime pieces that I can remember being offered in one auction... I wonder if most of these originate from one collection?
