Superman: Wedding Album #1 RRP Edition 227/250

Came back a CGC 9.2. Also has some really Bad Newton Rings all over the "S" on the cover.

This one will probably make a trip to Joey to be fixed from CCS they didn't do a good job at pressing this one, although I am considering sending it back for them to reholder on their dime for the issues before I send it in through Joey.

  ( They need to keep paying for these mistake so they hopefully will fix them.)

got a CGC 9.8 and the Perez Label! 

This one also has some Newton Rings on the cover at the "S" symbol and slight line of them right at the spine.

I had to contact customer services as on the bill they charged me for all of them to have George Perez Labels, but none of the Qualified book received them. They resolved that within a matter of minutes.

1st book.

DC Universe Logo Regular Cover of The Wedding of Superman that I had John Byrne  sign years agao, was hoping to add George for the Yellow/Green, but I am definitely happy with the 9.8 !

this one has Newton Rings right on Superman's crotch.

(Geez wait till the honeymoon!)

Update these have made it back!

considering that my Perez books have now made it back as well , I will be sending back these with Newton Rings , again, again, to get fixed.

I am not going to accept this until they are correct. CGC needs to get these fixed and stop creating more work for themselves.

Just like the double cover above, This one has bad Newton Rings over Superman's face and Byrnes signature..

Superman #1 CGC 9.4 with the interior "John Byrne" & "Terry Austin" signatures.Happy with this one !

Finally they got this one right !

First.

 The double cover. This was sent back in for review by the "lead" grader due to the issue of them originally  ignoring the double cover , then for calling it married.

after this review it has come back.

although this time it has Newton Rings right on the front cover over Superman's face and Austins Signature.  

3 times they have had this book and they still can't get it right..

I have received all of these books back again.

Me too.  At this point I hope they fix it all and that they apply my membership credit to my George Perez books since they will not be signed . That way I can just stop sending until they fix this complete fuster cluck . 

It is so sad to have CGC degrading to this point.

So now for the nasty surprise that was hiding and the reason all 3 have to go back.. again..again.... 

hard to see in scan although still wanted to add these as you can see the inner well isn't really heat sealed well in random places on some of them, but the big issue. Puddling..

Last.  

So this book . I sent the first time for a press, clean, and signing.  CCS did clean the outside cover , but best I can figure they (Like CGC ) didn't even open it the first time [they missed the double cover] and just pressed it.

Now after they get it back they say the interior cover is a 6.5 and that both it and the insert are married?! 

First of all if this book had happend any other time I might have shrugged and said maybe I missed it (although I seriously doubt it had staples looked untouched, all tight and had similar debris / discoloration as well as the cut of the covers.) 

Instead what I believe happened is that CCS cleaned only the outside cover then humidity/ press which now has caused the internal cover to look worse and when CGC got this back on its second trip they jump to married as the explanation of a lower grade cover inside.  plus the insert?!?! 

It will have to go back yet again for a review as I think some new graded got his mits on this and just didn't know what he was looking at.

Next. Ok this time they noted the interior Signatures. 

First.

Ok so I received the 3 books back from their second visit to St. Augustine today.

The ME moved to shipped today. Really hope they fixed the issues. 

The ME books moved to GEI yesterday.

Really nothing wrong with the last one. Was more a reaction to losing your playlist.  One of the issues with reactions and multiple part posts. Can't tell what the reaction is to. 

Meant to update this, but took a trip to St. Augustine to visit family and watch my Niece and Nephews baseball games. 

I have sent the 3 back for Mechanical Error.  

They arrived and have been checked in then moved to SFG on 4/25/22 hopefully this time they actually see/grade the double cover .

Here is one that sounds like three kids from the 80's and another that sounds like they are raging against the machine (IMHO)

I appreciate you sharing those. Definitely can hear exactly what you are saying. 

I just finished a 6 hour drive. Decided it was time to visit some family and take a trip. Now I am in.

Next two I now have no real way of telling them apart so unfortunately they will both have to go back.

One is signed on interior page by both Terry Austin and John Byrne.  (Really though this would at least get the notation of writing on interior page and possible Green / Yellow label. ) would still take the hybrid label if they would just note that there is at least writing or  signatures . 

The other is a Double Cover. No mention.  No separate inner outer cover grades.  

So again both of these and the other will have to make a return trip.. 

so out of 4 of them 3 will have to go back. Will be contacting them in the next couple days for the label and Mechanical Error.  I will update through this process.  

Next is the John Byrne cover signed book. It came back a

I had hoped it would be higher , but do see why they could give it this grade. That said the back of the book it appears to be either a issue with the inner well or the got debris inside which is causing a bubble around it and looks like it has dented the book so it will have to go back. Hopefully they will be able to press that issue out ( maybe even an upgrade 
)
