  1. I would hope that this guy has signed for other comics with the same signature, which they would have on file.
  2. Next show is November 5th. Will start that thread soon.
  3. I'm glad to hear that! People definitely fly in from LA every show, as well as WA/OR/NV. Sometimes from the east too.
  4. November 5! And hoping to have a big board member co-set-up there. And hopefully the return of CW and Primetime, we will see.
  5. Should be great vibes tomorrow--be sure to talk to our guest artists for a second too. Great guys and very interesting fellows.
  6. Thanks. I'll take a look to see if they still have the wording about huge numbers of listings in collectibles for free.
  7. Can you or anyone else confirm this applies to the bonus listings if they are collectibles? I cut my store size when I learned that they were allowing massive amounts of free collectibles listings. Which I viewed as very fair as they are one-of-a-kind items, often very inexpensive. Not like it's a fresh in box laser pointer or something that you can list 50 of the same thing or keep selling the same listing. Collectibles are a lot of work.
  8. We used to have advanced tickets on EventBrite but only two or three people were using it each time, so we stopped. The line moves really fast to get in and having cash makes it even faster for Tim at the door.
  9. Brian Peets is on vacation so he decided to skip. Alan and Phil are visiting the Chicago Con as buyers so they had to skip also. Shortboxed is set up at the Chicago show as well, I believe. Hopefully they all return for Nov. 5.
  10. This reminds me of some research in a CBM marketplace report where the advisor said that by 1980 or something, Richie Rich had more appearances than Batman. There probably weren't many months where Superman had three GA appearances but Captain Marvel would if CMA and Marvel Family came out the same month.
  11. Vendor list for the show: Steve Wyatt Bronze Age Batcave Shin Kao Worlds of Wonder Harvey Doss Adam Kellenberger Mike's Comics Plus Brett's Comics ComicWeb Dragstrip Comics RJ Collectibles SactoSanctorum JCT Comics Batcave Comics (Santa Rosa) Ray Storch Antone Perry Santa Rosa Comics DevCo Comics And of course, Heritage Auctions. They point out: Heritage’s Vice President Barry Sandoval will be accepting consignments for upcoming auctions. Or if you’re not yet ready to consign, but have questions about how the auction process works or what Heritage might be able to do for your collection specifically, this is the perfect opportunity to talk it through. Heritage has auctioned multiple Northern California collections for $100,000 or more in the past few years alone and is always looking for more.
  12. That's very cool. I will post the dealer list here in a day or so. Wanted to let everyone know that Heritage will have a table at the show.
  13. Dealers buy a lot from each other and have big budgets.
  14. Every Berkeley show (five times a year) is only back issue comics.
  15. Two guest artists for the August 6 show. Mark Badger (Gargoyle mini, Batman Jazz, Run, Riddler Run, etc.) and Dan Brereton (Nocturnals, etc.)
  16. Tim and I are very excited to put on our traditional first weekend of August show. This is our sixth anniversary show, as our first show was August, 2016. The last show was super fun and our new layout means more vendors than ever. This time it's looking like seven or eight fresh vendors who weren't at the June show. We remain the NorCal show with the most comics, for sure! www.berkeleycomicshow.com
  17. Good memory! The last Hayward con was in 2008. I'm still pumped about our last show--it was really great. Next show is August 6 and I will start the new thread today.
  18. Another very fun show in Berkeley! Tim was an absolute superhero yesterday on setup day. There were a lot of surprise problems with the venue that he had to deal with using creativity and a lot of brawn. First show as a vendor for Shin anywhere since Big Wow 2012? First Berkeley visit by FFB as well! Next show is our sixth anniversary--coming right up on August 6.
  19. The benefits of being on the comp list--he got all the Marvels free, I believe. I'm sure he had one of every DC free too.
  20. I enjoy some of them too. The IRS collection. The Kubert Collection. Etc. Elveen's Comics unfortunately had to cancel last minute and couldnt' make the drive up from SoCal.
  21. Actually with all the people who are sharing booths, I would say it's really the best stuff from 35 different back issue dealers!
  22. Some of the vendors have really upped their game with some big pickups. (including A-1 Comics with the biggest collection purchase in their history). It's going to be interesting to see what the new vendors have too.
