  1. The video isn't currently available and I'm in Canada. Mike
  2. Is the bottom right corner off this book or it just colored white? Mike
  3. There are a lot less early Strange Tales on the market than there have been over the last few years. Mike
  4. One of my friends got the D&D Basic Set for Christmas in 1982 and it came with this module. My very first D&D campaign which lead to close to 20 years of playing. Unfortunately, my group disbanded in the very late 1990s and that was the end for me. Mike
  5. I would also be interested to what the best alternative is. I guess that with the new boards we can post directly here. Mike
  6. Hi Brad, The show is pretty big and it's easy to miss people. Now that they don't have the smaller shows I don't see the locals as much as I used to. Mike
  7. I bought six WWII era Superman comics (numbers in the 20s and 30s) from Harley for a pretty good price after the discount he gave me. I love buying raw comics in person. I found the floor area to be bigger this year. I was there for 4 hours on Friday and between standing in line for three autographs, attending one panel, and spending a lot of time with Harley, I only saw about 10% of the show. Mike
  8. How bad are the COW pages in this comic? The back cover doesn't look bad at all. Mike
  9. The size of the Heritage Illustration Art auctions has certainly decreased since the Martignette Collection finished up. Definitely not as exciting as when the collection was rolled out. Mike
  10. Are there ever any FH covers for sale? I can't remember seeing one, but I don't follow the market that closely. Mike
  11. Yesterday the Tec 38 CGC 3.5 went for $35,000. In the last CC auction a 3.0 went for about $50,000. Crazy how prices can vary!!!!! Mike
  12. You've posted this in the Marketplace. Are you selling it? Mike
  13. Recent pick up of an interior, ink wash piece by Harrison Cady from The Adventures of Bob White by Thornton W. Burgess. Mike
  14. I took a risk and bought this on eBay assuming the marks were mold caused by water damage. I received it yesterday and I'm pretty sure it is mold. I'm going to take it to a framing place near my house that sends things out for cleaning. I had a good experience getting a Decarlo piece deacidified (i.e. detanned). I'll post the results when I get the piece back. If it works I'll be way ahead on price as I paid $375 and these Decarlo Humorama cartoons seem to be selling around $2,000 in good shape.
  15. I really like this art. The GCD says it's Rudy Palais and Maxwell Elkan. I have to admit I've never heard of them. Mike
  16. It looks like the page got wet and moldy. I bet you could get that cleaned and it would look pretty good. I guess that it could be ink; then you're out of luck. Mike
  17. I'm not familiar with Archie. Why is this a key? Mike
  18. Tec 38 in CGC 3.0 sold for $54,000. I guess that Robin is finally getting some respect. Tec 36 coverless sold for $2,100 and a Tec 35 coverless sold for $6,200. Why would you pay more for a coverless copy of a classic cover book than a coverless copy of a non-classic cover? Probably because of the splash page??? Mike
  19. In the GCD it says this is Lee Elias, but the dealer who sold it to me insisted it's Bob Lubbers. I'm not good enough with artists to be able to tell the difference. Does anyone have any opinions? Mike
