  1. Here's one missing from the other shots that I'll try and upgrade some day, but it is nicely wrapped with white pages and generally presents well.
  2. Thanks for catching those 52 pagers and the Hulk. I've updated the chart in my previous post. Mike
  3. Here is a list of all the picture frames (as far as I know) along with the months they were published. The first PFs were cover dated November and December 1971, although non-PFs were also published during these two months. As far as I can tell, every Marvel comic cover dated 1972 was a PF, although I have highlighted in yellow those that aren't true PFs (in my opinion). After December 1972 the PFs stopped dead with the exception of War is Hell #3, cover dated May 1973. As far as I know, the last 15 cent issues were published in September 1971. After that the runs either went to 20 cent PFs or 25 cent 52 pagers, some being PFs and some not. I've highlighted the issue numbers of the 52 page PFs in red. Mike Edited to include info provided below.
  4. Our Love Story 14-20 My Love 14-20 These are the only picture frame love comics and I've never found any in high grade.
  5. I like seeing the books laid out in group shots like this. There is a certain satisfaction in seeing years of work in front of you. I'll try and find scans of more recent purchases. If anyone sees anything I'm missing that meets my criteria I'm interested. Mike
  6. I keep the Avengers and Daredevils with those runs so they are shown at the end here.
  7. I just found this thread and thought I'd share my PF collection. As with all my comics, I focus on presentation so what I have is square cut and mostly perfectly wrapped with good page quality, clean back covers and no tanning halos. Grades probably average NM-. I took these photos last year so a few (but not a lot) have been added since. Mike Starting with super-heroes in alphabetical order.
  8. Sold Greggy a few comics from my recent sales thread and received immediate payment with no hassles. A great buyer (and seller from past transactions). Mike
  9. :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o On December 19, 2008 I sent $145 to mjacobs8 for two Avengers comics I purchased here on the boards. Michael posted fairly often at that time and I had had successful transactions with him in the past. In this case he flaked on the deal with me and some others and disappeared from the boards. djpinkpanther67 tried to contact him in person but he was nowhere to be found. Suddenly today I received a $150 repayment from him, 3.5 years later! He apologized, regreted his actions and hoped he hadn't caused me any hardship. As you might expect, I pretty surprised. I guess if you have faith things can work out. Michael, I appreciate you squaring things up after I had already forgotten the incident. Mike
  10. My bank sucks the air out of the safety deposit box room after they close it for the night to protect from fire. Mike
  11. Here's their website. http://www.hardcasecrime.com/ Comic book creator Max Collins wrote one of books and his partner on the Ms. Tree series did the cover. It even looks like Ms. Tree. http://www.hardcasecrime.com/books_bios.cgi?title=Deadly%20Beloved Mike
  12. I collect Atlas and start with the Nov/51 first books with the logo. I stop when they took it off, but many people lump the pre-hero books into Atlas. My understanding is that the employees of the company still considered it Timely throughout the 50s, Atlas was just on the cover of the comics. Mike
  13. I've never seen a copy this nice! Where did you get it? Dan DeCarlo is great. Mike
  14. These are awesome books. I've never seen such a nice group (unless there are hidden defects). Mike
