  1. We call it a 401k because of the tax laws, or something. Either way - 401k, RRSP - it's a sound investment compared to Modern comics...
  2. Tommy Boy. One of the best comedies that I consistently forget exists. Luckily, my dad bought a Blu-ray of it for me, for X-Mas one year.
  3. Ah, yes, I remember that scene now. It was at the end of the film, though. Was he running like an artard in the rest of the film, too?
  4. I understand, but, "Obviously I do not want to keep this book for my collection now", is an unnecessary overreaction IMO. It's a microscopic amount of alleged color touch.
  5. I know we call it the "PLOD", but I like to think it has more to do with the seller's ability to cash in vs an un-restored copy. I personally don't like the look of the CGC Restoration label (purple just distracts too much from the cover(s). I have no problems with owning an old, raw, comic with a small about of restoration. (Most - there are some Frankenstein monsters out there) comics deserve love, too!
  6. Restored comic are not garbage. Why are people treating R comic like they have the Black Plague waiting to destroy their comic collection? I would simply keep the book. It looks very nice.
  7. You mean "creep engine". IIRC, the generation holder your comic is in was introduced circa 2005, so it must have received a re-holder (if I'm not mistaken). This case isn't helping the comic IMO.
  8. Welcome to CGC, Marcus. That all depends on what you'd like to collect and what your budget is.
  9. I buy so many collected editions, that it's hard to keep up. At some point I'll catch 'em all, but not too soon. I've probably only read 10-15% of what I own.
  10. It's kind of a let down when you reach an agreement with a seller and they don't honor it. International seller. Wanted to buy tons of books from him. He has OBO on every product. I messaged to see if he can reduce shipping costs since it's $6-11 per book. He says, "sure, we can ship every 4th book at cost". So, I send an offer for $10 under list price (to reduce shipping to free on that 1 item) and add, "I'll be buying 6 other books with this one. He returns an offer for $1 off... I removed all 20 of his items from my Watch (to buy) list. Ugh.
