  1. I don't see any of these jabronis around the PGM sub-forum.
  2. No. I don't store my slabs in anything other than a box. None of them have an odor.
  3. The primary difference being: Heath Ledger's Joker was a complete surprise. He had never done anything in his acting career like that before. Joaquin Phoenix was basically made for the role. No one will be surprised by his performance. The Dark Knight is a Joker movie in a Batman-titled film. I just don't think there's a contest.
  4. Based on his performance as Magneto - he'd fit the bill.
  5. I think the difference is this; The book in the OP got restoration removal, and they couldn't remove all of it, so while a tiny amount remains it was intended to be an non-restored book. Any restoration on this book clearly won't improve the appearance much. In the case of an 8.0, I would think that any (professional) restoration improves the appearance of said book. I cannot speak for CGC, though.
  6. Not really. You seem to have a problem with poor writing. Maybe you should take issue with the Mary Sues and MacGuffins themselves, instead of the words that exist to define them.
  7. The original Mary Sue is different than the modern sense of the term. Sidekicks are typically there to assist the main event - so they're typically great at whatever their conveyed purpose is.
  8. Rey is 100% certified Mary Sue. No question. Vibranium could maybe be a MacGuffin.
  9. Shuri is also a sidekick. Not the title character or the primary protagonist. Is Pepper Potts a Mary Sue? The term just does not fit her character.
  10. Combat, driving, and designing a vibranium suit that can remain active in mag lev.
  11. Shuri was about to die in Black Panther before Okoye/T'Challa saved her.
  12. Had Tony Stark been on Earth, he could've likely accomplished the same goal. The real that Shuri appears "smarter" than Stark + Banner RE: Vision is because he's made of vibranium. Vision was both Tony's and Bruce's first experience with engineering that element. Fact is, that Shuri isn't great/perfect at everything. A Mary Sue is great/perfect at everything.
  13. Infinity War. I don't think that Shuri builds anything. She's a designer who holds technological information regarding vibranium engineering. I would not classify her as a Mary Sue.
  14. Mary Sue has nothing to do with gender, in the modern sense. Rey, for example, is a Mary Sue because her character is great at everything seemingly without good reason based on precedent set within that franchise's universe. Kylo Ren would also be a Mary Sue if he wasn't a Skywalker and/or formally trained by Luke. Carol Danvers is the byproduct of a MacGuffin. So, not a Mary Sue, but as close as you can get to it. I'd love to see the day that angst-y male feminists full;y understand the term Mary Sue and accept the fact that they exist, by way of poor writing, and simply accept the fact gracefully. You may have heard the ole, "wish in 1 hand and poo in another; see which fills first"?
