  1. I mean, it's not being hacked, but... Anyone else having problems with read threads being marked unread, and notifications going haywire? Didn't they do an update yesterday? It didn't work...
  2. I wanted to both "Like" and laugh at this post, so here's for both:
  3. I completely forgot that we were even discussing this $5 threshold. Derp.
  4. Really? Mine says, "It's on the Way! $6.03" (that I'm gonna let sit there until it dies). Santa must've put you on the Naughty List.
  5. I let all of my eBay Bucks expire just for fun. The thrill of money lost is titillating.
  6. We're talking about Moderns that do not need this much handling awareness. Buying bags and boards from the same manufacturer will fix what ails the OP.
  7. I play Magic, and I double-sleeve my expensive decks. I always buy Ultra Pro inners and outers, and once bought Dragon Shield outers. It was then that I knew nothing is universal from peripherals perspective. I learned from a different media. So, the comics will always be the same size, but there's no guarantees for anything else... Sorry you had to learn the hard way! Hopefully it didn't cost you too much.
  8. Holy , a 98!? I'm seeing it at 7:45 tonight. The same theater opened up Endgame tickets for the next 3 days, but it's not showing until 5:00, so I won't be able to squeeze it in beforehand.
  9. If you're calling me a mess, well, you're not a wrong. Normally people refer to mylar bags by their depth. Not height and width. I use the same designated bags and boards by the same producer. If you criss-cross apple sauce manufacturers then I could see the boards possibly being a tight fit.
  10. Yeah, "old Batman" doesn't really help us understand how old it actually is. I didn't infer "brittle" PQ, but you make a good point. I simply thought the fear of damage would be from further tearing the pages.
  11. Does not compute. Had the same debate with a friend who plays EA NHL. My friend who's an English teacher concurs with me. I know it's not wrong, per se, but it's the least-correct version and it's grinds my gears.
  12. Holy . They make 7" mylar comic bags!? That's, like, the size of 15 CGC slabs!
  13. Your grammar is killing me. Nick Fury has been quipping since The Avengers. When was Carol Danvers "funny"..? Also, if anyone was expecting this to not be the same as every other Marvel Studios film, then... Exactly how many MCU films have they even seen? Even the more-somber films like The Winter Soldier and Infinity War were chock-full of humor.
  14. Literally neither situation is "unethical". Buyer and seller agree upon a price. That is just making a purchase/sale. It's diligence.
  15. I agree that the buyer was "made whole" by being almost immediately refunded. The seller, if s/he knows what they're doing and is being transparent/honest, looked for the book for a fair amount of time and couldn't find it. I get that around here 'not getting the comic but getting refunded' isn't exact the same concept, because you could be getting a unique product, and/or great deal. The seller has offered to sell it at the same price if found. Will it be found? Is it a tactic to retain credibility? We'll never know. I guess we have to take it at face value, though, right? I agree that this seems like an incident that should avoid the Probation List, and should be filed under the 'personal list'. The seller fumbled.
  16. As has been mentioned, a "jury of your peers" here can pander to the schoolyard mentality that some have accustomed, where a single person gets hammered by a group for really no 'good' reason. While not everyone is that shallow with pre-determined subjectivity, and there are certainly neutral and more-objective users, there isn't a good method of 'weeding out' those who may taint the pool.
